I WANT IT BUT I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT!

I want a new car.

But new cars cost $20,000.00 or more. On a five year loan, that's over $4,000.00 per year PLUS INTEREST!

That's just too much for me to pay.

Since I believe I have a right to a new car, and no one should judge me for wanting one, I think the government should pay for it.

Imagine! I would never have to pay for my car again. You, the other tax payers, would pay for it for me!

You are such nice people.

On a related subject, what does a woman have to do to be considered a "slut?"

Is there some standard by which a woman might earn "slut" classification?

If so, what is that standard?

Would an unmarried woman who engaged in intercourse seven times a week be considered a "slut?"

What if she engaged in intercourse seven times a week with four different men? Would that qualify her for "sluthood?"

What if she used contraception?

Would that disqualify her for "sluthood?"

What if she said, "I want contraception for my seven sexual encounters every week, but contraception costs me $3,000.00 per year! (What kind of contraception costs $3,000.00 per year anyway?)

"Hey! I'm a student! I can't afford $3,000.00 per year for contraception! I think the government should pay for both my education AND my contraception!"

Turns out, that's exactly what she DID say. (But it was probably just a fluke.)

Since I've had "permanant contraception," the government has no need to pay for mine.

So, I think they should pay for my new car, instead.

Of course, it should be "green" (even though the one above is obviously blue).

And here I thought liberals wanted government to stay OUT of the bedroom. Why do they always have their begging bowls out?

"......What if she engaged in intercourse seven times a week with four different men? Would that qualify her for "sluthood?"....."

Even if you change the personal pronouns and the word 'men' to 'women', I don't think anyone should qualify for 'sluthood'.

Except maybe those sex-crazed and insatiable Librul Bonobos (Pan Paniscus), their wanton ways are wascally.

You are correct about who should pay - and who should not.

Joe said...

LR: They are born beggars.

ALTC: So should we just take the word "slut" out of the dictionary.

Joe said...

Slut or slattern is a term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous.

Synonyms: trollop - strumpet - harlot - streetwalker - slattern

Anonymous said...

It's too late to remove the word from the OED - the ONLY REAL dictionary by the way! - 'cause those 'Slut Walk' slatterns have 'taken it back'!

If we refrain from defining the concept of sexual mores and promiscuity on a qualitative scale wherein some are considered 'loose' and others considered 'chaste' then we will not need these emotive words.

Who is to decide what a loose moral is and what a chaste moral is?
The Government?
The Church?
The People, via a democratic plebiscite?
You Joe?
Whomever you/we/they decide gets to choose the 'scale', please don't let it be those Papists!

From a purely economic point of view, I reckon it would be cheaper for the Government to pay for contraception than to pay to keep the resultant 'Bundle of Joy(1)' for 16 years after the idiot fornicator becomes heavy with child.

(1) Babies!
- A visitation from God, not altogether unlike the Plague of Toads.
- All noise at one end and a complete lack of responsibility at the other.

Anonymous said...

It is grim, but I believe all humans to be idiot fornicators. It is merely a matter of the quality and quantity of temptation necessary to drag them over to the dark side.

The solution to abortion, contraception, unwanted babies, et cetera is to sterilise all humans at birth.
When a child is requested by a female, and after she and her mate, if he is to be involved later,(or if a third party 'she' is required. Or second and third party 'hes') have passed many exams to prove their 'parentability', then, and only then, will the sterilisation be reversed for conception to occur.(1) And then the 'parents' are re-sterilised.

Simple solution!

(1) What a sentence, yes?

You forgot that 'brazen hussy' is also a member of that synonym list.

As for the car you want me to buy you, Joe, get in line. Everybody (on the left) wants me to buy them everything.

Who's buying ME stuff?!!? Nobody.

Anonymous said...

I'll buy you some time Fredd. Who needs stuff when you have that?
Better still I'll give you, for free, an alibi if ever you should need one.

Hmmmmm, 'time' and an 'alibi.' You wouldn't by any chance be a corrections officer, would you?

Ducky's here said...

The only people who are against it are fundies who want to control women.
Insurance companies like it, pregnancies are expensive, birth control is cheap. Don't have to twist their arms to get them to agree to this.
Drug companies like it, of course, more money for them.
Normal people like it. Means that they can easily get contraception, and that others can reducing the probability of unwanted children.

Everyone is happy except for a small group of people who think that their religion allows or requires that men should have control over women's reproductive rights.

Ducky's here said...

Fredd, what would you like?

I bought my niece a Macbook Air.

She enrolled in college with a biology major and I'm quite proud of her.

What would you like? A camera, maybe?

Hey Joe did you hear that "Talent on Loan from Synthetic Morphine" Limbaugh apologized?

His "liberal" advertisers got to him and with his ratings decline he can' afford the loss.

Joe - This is a Really good post.

First - I think that the government should buy ya a new car - if that's what ya Really want - and if in fact you need one.

Now here's the plan. I will talk to President Obama - and at the same time give him a Wonderful Painting that I Really would like for him to have.

In fact it's the same painting that I offered up for sale - to pay the retainer's fee for my D.

No one stepped up to buy it.

But - Joe - if I give the Painting to President Obama - Our Really Cool Guy Prez - then he could talk Moochelle into not taking as many vacations - and thus allowing for the money for your new car.

Second - Do ya think that I would be called a 'sl*t' - if I decided to go ahead an have *** with someone - even before my D happens.

What do YOU think - Joe.

Thank you.

Have an Excellent Evening.

My Best To Bonnie Joe.

One of the advertisers who pulled out of Rush's show was Carbonite. That same company did NOT cancel ads on Ed Schultz's show when he called Laura Ingraham "a right-wing slut."

As usual, the only standards liberals have are double standards.

Do reproductive rights trump the right to life?

Only in the minds of the depraved.

Joe, The govt. isn't paying for Georgetown, or any Catholic school, student's health ins. It's paid by student fees. It's like ins. offered through a company, the employee pays a reduced rate because they're in a larger pool and the co. or school pays into it. The options are limited to what the school or co. offers.

The Affordable Care Act says there are certain preventative care items that must be covered. Contraception is one and it saves a lot of money for the ins. co., the customer and, in the end, the govt.

Do reproductive rights trump the right to life?

Contraception prevents far more abortions than right wing, religionist scolds.

On a related subject, what does a woman have to do to be considered a "slut?"

Have sex out of wedlock. Have sex in marriage, not for the expressed purpose of procreation. Have sex in marriage for procreation and enjoy it. Do it in a position other than missionary. Does that about cover it?

Joe, can a man be a slut? How about a man traveling to the Dominican Republic with 3 male buddies and a bottle of Viagra?

That same company did NOT cancel ads on Ed Schultz's show when he called Laura Ingraham "a right-wing slut.

Schultz apologized immediately and went off the air for a week. He didn't spend 2 more days digging himself in deeper. He also hasn't made a career out of misogynism and race baiting.

Joe, I won't buy you a new car but I will help pay for a new hip, if that's what you need.

sue hanes said...

"Schultz apologized immediately and went off the air for a week. He didn't spend 2 more days digging himself in deeper. He also hasn't made a career out of misogynism and race baiting."

Schultz isn't smart enough to stay out of the fray. He didn't spend two more days digging himself in deeper because MSNBC SUSPENDED him for a week.

This isn't over. Facts are surfacing that Fluke is a Fake. She isn't 23 years old as the lamestream media have been reporting, she is 30. She has been a longtime feminist activist. And before she enrolled at Georgetown, she checked the university's insurance coverage and found that the did not supply free contraception. She apparently enrolled for the express purpose of forcing them to change their coverage.

By the way, I know in the liberal world just stating something makes it true. But in the real world, adolescent name-calling, such as labeling Rush a misogynist and a race-baiter simply proves Talking Point #20. Again.

Oh, and now it comes out that Carbonite CEO David Friend has donated money to left-wing smear site MoveOn.org. He has also made contributions to such liberals as John Kerry, Tony Knowles and Howard Dean. He also supports lefty organizations with misleading names such as Democracy for America, Texans for Truth and Americans Coming Together.

I'm not surprised that he pulled sponsorship from Limbaugh. What I wonder is why he placed ads in the first place. I guess profits trump principles. Hmm, I should have something pithy to cover that. Ah, yes. Immutable Truth About Liberals #7. Whenever you don't understand a liberal's motives, just look for the money.

Liberals are SO easy to pigeonhole!

Ooops. Someone should tell Fake Fluke that WalMart has been offering a month's worth of The Pill for only nine dollars. Since 2007. Oh, but liberals HATE WalMart. A vicious circle.

Craig said...

Fluke is a fake

A fake what? She never said she was 23. She's been open about her advocacy for women. If you watched the video Joe posted, she identifies herself as the past pres. of the Georgetown chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. The focus of her testimony was a story about a classmate who was prescribed contraceptives to treat ovarian cysts. The student is a lesbian and wasn't worried about becoming pregnant. She was denied coverage, couldn't continue to pay out of pocket and stay in school and wound up in emergency surgery.

The surgery was covered and ended up costing way more than the prevention.

Ranger, keep defending Limbaugh and your 17th century sexually repressed Puritan values. It's a winning issue for the Repubs.

Joe said...

Ducky: "Want to bet your full of it?"

Why would he bet his "full of it?"

And what is a "full of it," anyway.

Oh...maybe your education is showing and you don't know the difference between "your" and "You're."

Yeah...that's probably it.

Joe said...

Craig: (re:Fluke)In the beginning she was described as a Georgetown law student.

It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women’s right advocate.

In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown’s insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services, she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy.

During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed.

Interestingly, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify.

In an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old, NOT the 23 that had been reported all along.

Coruscating Craig said,

".....The surgery was covered and ended up costing way more than the prevention......"

The prevention makes a few people richer. The correction makes a few more people richer. One needs to look at who it is 'costing' and who it is 'profiting' when one decides to engage in Social Engineering.

He then went on.....

"......Ranger, keep defending Limbaugh and your 17th century sexually repressed Puritan values. It's a winning issue for the Repubs......"

As opposed to your non-sexually repressed Puritan values - those you need not defend.

How would one pronounce 'Limbaugh'?
Is it like those '-ough' English words with multiple pronunciations?
If so, I vote for:
"Lim - Ba - Ooo - Gah"
To rhyme with the vehicle horns yins hear in abundance at those wonderful 'Farm Implement and Tractor Pull' Fairs y'all have in North America.

Immutable Truth About Liberals #16. There are only two types of liberals -- the deceivers and the deceived. The difficulty is in telling them apart.

I am constantly amazed at how liberals will swallow deception after deception after deception, as long as it is served up by other liberals. They are like the monkeys who see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil -- about other liberals.

But, let a conservative utter one word that conflicts with their bizarre world view, and they will stick their fingers in their ears, jump up and down, swish their feather boas and scream, "LIAR, LIAR, LIAR!!!

What is so difficult to believe is that they don't seem to care that their own freedoms and their own country are being destroyed by liberal policies.

Proof that liberalism is a mental illness.

Joe, Sandra Fluke has talked about her advocacy for womens causes. That is why she wanted to testify at Darrel Issa's committee hearing. She's not responsible for shoddy reporting about her age. She hasn't deceived anyone.

If you think any of that justifies calling her a slut and a prostitute, go ahead. Joe, once again, the premise of your post is flawed. The govt. isn't paying for Georgetown students health ins. Who's paying for your hip?

One needs to look at who it is 'costing' and who it is 'profiting' when one decides to engage in Social Engineering.

What are you talking about. Private health ins. is Social Engineering?

As opposed to your non-sexually repressed Puritan values - those you need not defend.

I made no judgment on who's values are superior. This issue is now front and center in electoral politics. I'm encouraging Ranger and his ilk to keep trying to turn Sandra Fluke into Hester Prine. It's working out quite well.

Anonymous said...

Sheesh Craig, you know me better than that!
I'm being satirical and humourous, or at least trying to be.

Are there any Puritan values which are not sexually repressed? I was wordsmithing your choice of the adjectival phrase 'sexually repressed' to modify the noun 'Puritan'.
Redundant, yes?

The 'costing' quip was my attempt to satirise the fact that costly medical procedures, the costlier the better, are prefered to 'low-margin' health solutions whenever possible by the folks making the profit - IF they can get away with it.
Social Engineering does not necessarily mean 'The greatest good for the greatest number of people' ya know! One can socially engineer a society which has no social benefits at all.
Again, humour was being attempted.

Ducky's here said...

Here's the bottom line, Craig.

Obama was executed a brilliant political coup. By injecting contraception into the political debate he got the right in a frenzy and they look like a bunch of medieval extremists who's idea of birth control is the chastity belt.

Limbaugh is on the ropes and really taking a hit.

The primaries are costing rethugs a big hunk of their warchests and if L'il Ricky Retardo wins in Ohio the crazies will be front and center for that much longer.

Flue, as editor of the Georgetown law review is probably a little too much intellect for Lone Ranger to accept.

Ducky's here said...

Joe, how are you paying anything for contraceptive coverage? You and Tonto's catcher haven't answered.

Ducky's here said...

Joe, any idea why Georgetown includes contraception coverage in the faculty and staff policy but not in the student policy?

Yet the students are forced to buy the policy even if they prefer to buy one that includes contraception.
Someone's idea of freedom?

Would Lone Ranger or Joe or Chatsworth please sort this out for me. Seems more like hypocrisy than a matter of anyone compromising their values.

Joe said...

Craig: "... once again, the premise of your post is flawed."

Tell me, o wise one, what was the premise of my post?

Ducky's here said...

The premise is that you are somehow paying for her contraception coverage (or would be).

The reality is that you've gone over the high side again.

Craig said...

What Ducky said.

I think the government should pay for both my education AND my contraception!"

Turns out, that's exactly what she DID say.

It's not what she said. Did you even watch the video you posted? Not only is the govt. not paying for her, or the women she talked about, contraception, the govt. isn't paying for her education.

She said she is on a Public Interest Scholarship. The program is offered and funded by Georgetown Law not the govt.

Georgetown Law created the Public Interest Law Scholars (PILS) program for law students who want to dedicate most or all of their careers to public service. This program helps public interest law students financially and developmentally by fostering a law school culture that supports and grows public interest lawyers.

Testifying before Congress on a topic she has dedicated herself to seems to fit right in with the stated goals of the PILS program at Georgetown. What a slut, huh?

So, who's paying for your hip replacement. I hope it all goes well and it enhances your quality of life, I really do. My guess is Medicare is chipping in a substantial amount. Probably the equivalent of 2 Chevy Volts.

Lone Ranger said...

HAH! It seems that Carbonite is learning the lesson of Snapple. Since the market opened on Monday through its close Tuesday, Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.

Snapple is a company that rose from a little local tea company to a worldwide corporation while it was advertising on Rush. But then, another company bought Snapple and immediately cancelled its ads on Rush for political reasons. The backlash was immediate and it wasn't long before Snapple came crawling back to Rush.

Liberals just never seem to learn that politics is a two-edged sword. Use your company for political reasons and consumers will be only too glad to play your game.

Ducky's here said...

Tonto's Catcher, Carbonite is down 30% in the last three months.

A stock that has been under sell pressure for a while is going to get hit hard on the worst down day of the year for the NASDAQ. It was up 5% the next day better than the general recovery.

Remind me not to let you near my portfolio. What a maroon.

Joe said...

Craig: "Who's paying for your hip?"

Turns out that I've been paying for it since the inception of Medicare...out of every pay check.

Sort of a forced advance premium payment plan.

Luckily, the government invested that money in such a way as to have more than enough in my account to pay for the surgery.

Oh, wait! I still am paying into Medicare out of every pay check and I pay for a pretty expensive private supplemental plan as well!

And there is no account!

Guess their "investments" didn't do so well after all.

(Shhh! Don't let that one out of the bag...might deflate liberals' arguements.)

(Never mind...they don't care. They'll just spin it their way anyway.)

Lone Ranger said...
