TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE

LIFE HAS ITS SHARE OF INTERRUPTIONS, AND THIS IS ONE OF MINE.

For most of my adult life I have awakened every morning excited about doing what I got to do that day.

As a Minister of Music, Youth and/or Education, I got to do things I never would have gotten to do in any other endeavor.

For 27 years as an Announcer/Operator/Manager in christian radio, I got to do what I had never expected to be able to do.

When the economy went south, both of these activities began to suffer and eventually I had to leave them as an occupation.

Now I get up every morning to go to a job I hate, happy to have any bill-paying job at all.

The adjustment to a totally different way of life has taken its toll on my inspiration to write, and
I find myself unwilling to take what little time I have to spend it blogging...at least for now.

I plan to return in the not too distant future.

For now, I will continue to read and comment on your blogs and will try to keep up with conservative news and comments.

Until my return, keep the liberal/progressives' toes to the fire.

TAKE THE TIME

Here's a short article worth reading and a short video worth watching.

NO FAIR! NO FAIR!

So the Democrats in Wisconsin are angry!

They got "left out" of the process!

NO THEY DID NOT!!

They took themselves out of the process!

"This is a violation of law!" bellowed Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha).

Well, guess what: being elected and then not taking part in the process is abominable!

The overwhelming majority of Democrats in Wisconsin, and liberal/progressives in general, are total idiots.

They were too stupid to see this coming.

They, like their union idiot friends, think they are above everybody else and should be able to do what they want, when they want where they want.

Surprise!

It doesn't work that way.

Liberal/progressives are nothing more than cry-babies.

All of them.

DID THIS REALLY HAPPEN, OR DIDN'T IT?

Do you still doubt that the present administration is filled with either rank amateures or bald faced liars?

I HATE TO GIVE THIS GUY ANY NOTICE, BUT WOW!

So Chris Matthews thinks Newt Gingrich "looks like a car bomber?

Is there any chance at all that a statement like that could be considered profiling, or hate speech, or biased, or prejudiced or just plain stupid?

Is it my imagination or have liberal/progressives lost all touch with reality?

Can liberal/progressives not see hypocrisy in their own statements?

They are very good at pointing it out in others.

Who was it who said, "Would that we could see ourselves as others see us?"

The only people who should take Chris Matthews seriously as a human being, let alone a "journalist" or "editorialist," are people who, themselves, are total idiots.

I mean, is he a total nimrod?

Has rational thought completely abandoned the liberal/progressives?

A statement like that from a conservative would be lambasted on every liberal/progressive media entity in the universe.

As much as I can't imagine a president named "Newt" (just like I had real trouble imagining a president named "Barack" or "Obama," as well as "Mitt"), to refer to him as looking like a car bomber is beyond the everlovin'-blue-eyed-pale.

Why is Chris Matthews allowed to continue, when so many others have been canned for far lesser grievances?

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED

My sister and I were having a discussion one day when she made a most remarkable statement about "truth."

She said, "Truth is what actually happened."

That's about as close as one can come to defining that seemingly ethereal concept of "truth."

Some people think truth is relative...what's true for you might not be true for me.

But that is utter nonsense, steeped in sophomorism.

If I say my car is green, and you say that I said my car is chartreuse, you have not told the truth, regardless of the actual color of my car.

Like the "Bush lied" lie, in which Bush (and almost everybody else) was told that Sadam had weapons of mass destruction, thought he were being told the truth and repeated the idea and then was accused of lying.

That bit of stupidity is used by people whose motives are impure or who are just plain liars, themselves.

With regard to what's happening in Wisconsin, we are being constantly lied to by the MainStream Press as they tell us the governor is trying to "bust the unions," and "take away their collective bargaining rights."

That's a lie.

Many of you (especially you liberal/progressives) believe the lie, because your emotions get pumped over the thought that union members should have what they want, when they want it, where they want it, for whatever reason they want it and hang the costs to the company.

First of all, there is no such thing as a "right" to collective bargaining.

Collective bargaining was forced upon corporations by a group of socialistic leaders who believe "workers" should rule the world.

That is a concept born of a totally different philosophy from Americanism.

I, for instance, work for a company as an "employee," not as a "worker."

Those are two different concepts, the difference between which is not taught in government schools in this country.

Secondly, public sector unions in Wisconsin are not being asked to give up all collective bargaining, rather they are being asked to give up those parts of it that suck financial resources from the non union citizens of Wisconsin without providing any return, financial, moral or otherwise.

It is the sucking of those kinds of resources that have brought this country to its present level of economic strife, whether by public sector unions, government ineptitude or by excessive taxation.

"Well why hasn't he applied the same rules to 'first responders?'"

Because the police, firefighters and emergency personnel give back to the taxpayers in the form of unique service, something the run-of-the-mill SEIU member does not do.

What Governor Walker was elected to do was to bring Wisconsin to a position of fiscal responsibility.

To get that done, the public sector unions leeches have to be curbed...as do others who suck the public coffers dry with no return.

He is doing something most liberal/progressives don't understand: the responsible thing.

You will not have been told any of this by MSM, and therefore you will conclude that it is not true.

But as my sister said, "The truth is what actually happened."
