ABO REVISITED

So, Newt Gingrich beat Mitt Romney.

As you know, of the three left in the race, I prefer Rick Santorum.

But it looks like we're going to have a president named Newt, Mitt or Barack.

Of those three, Newt would be my choice, but as I said, ABO.

I live in Florida, where the two Republican front runners are now neck-in-neck in the polls.

I will vote for Rick if he is still in the running.

What amazes me about all of this is the absolute transparency of the MSM as they pine for the one who is most likely to enact policies most to their likeing, Mitt Romney.

Of course, Mitt denies that, but his voting record would seem to lend support to their conclusions.

Newt, on the other hand, has "baggage" they love to exalt.

Womanizing was absolutely no issue for the Democrat constituency when it was John Kennedy or Bill Clinton doing it. As we all know, character has nothing to do with one's ability to do the job of the presidency.

But when it is Herman Cain or Newt Gingrich, it is suddenly "character matters."

Herman Cain is crucified over alleged affairs, none of which amounted to anything other than accusations which I suspect were well paid for.

Newt's ex-wife, who has no small ax to grind, comes forward with a preposterous story at a preposterous time, and MSM treats her like she had a sconce of credibility.

The problem is, Democrats, as a whole, have no scruples at all and think it is perfectly proper for their candidate(s) to behave like Chicago thugs, while totally disparaging the Republican who have a iota of imperfection in their "character."

Democrats see facts where there are none, draw erroneous conclusions from the facts that are and hold to their illogical ideology at all costs.

So on we go to Florida.

Whoever wins Florida will likely be the nominee for the Republicans.

Like I said, "Anybody But Obama."

Joe - We need to establish something right now.

Newt Gingrich dumped his wives when they were down.

Neither Jacqueline Kennedy or Hillary Clinton has ever been down.

President Kennedy hit on every woman in sight. I've read that he did this - not because of loose morals although that certainly is a possiblity - but rather that he was in physical pain constantly and he simply used this venue to relieve the pain - I guess we'll never know.

Bill Clinton is a 'horse of a differnt color' because he choose his women more - shall I say - carefully. But the important thing to remmeber about Bill Clinton is:

THAT HE LEARNED HIS LESSON

THAT IF HE EVER DOES IT AGAIN I WILL BE RIGHT IN LINE BEHIND HILLAR TO CUT THAT THING OFF

and anyway bill clinton has his eyes set on a grandchild even is taking good care of himself in case that happens

Now - Newt Gingrich only makes my skin crawl just a little less than Rick Santorum makes me want to p*k*.

Why don't People stick with Mitt Romney - he's really good looking and is polishing up on his speaking skills.

Can you imagine how much fun it will be?

Just by the slightest chance that you may possibly care, here is my point: Obviously many of you are content to put me on a black bandwagon and accuse me of pulling out my race card, you are all idiots then. My main point was that whatever your political views may be, whatever your personal opinion of the character of the Obama family may be, keep their race out of it. Because once you mention her race when it otherwise has no business being there, yes it is construed as racism and I would love to see you defend it. She could be an angry woman or a fat woman if that’s how you truly feel but putting black into it makes it appear as though you are using her RACE to insult her. which is exactly what you meant to do, correct? By that logic, you see her race as something negative and are therefore exhibiting racist values. America does not need any more hate or injustice, MLK would have died for nothing. Thinking about the fact that the party the once had an amazing person like Dr. Martin Luther King, today now has a man who is the opposite of everything Dr. King was. I’m talking, of course, about Rush Limbaugh!
And I was right as usual. The spirit of the KKK resides in the racist right and this despicable blog of yours that practices false Patriotism is proof in the pudding. Ron Paul is despicable, as is Newt Gingrich and the worst sinner of them all Mittens Romney.

Obama does not have radical leftist beliefs, nor is he dedicated to the destruction of our Constitutionalist Republic. He is nota fraud and anyone who saids he is is a racist. I understand that as a conservative you are ashamed of the Bush Administration and the actual illegality and anti-Constitutionality practiced by the Republican Party 2000-2008. But it is a pathetic tactic to accuse Obama of imaginary and overblown crimes in order to dodge responsibility for the harm to our Republic actually caused by you and your votes. It is all about your cowardice, and your inability to take responsibility for your own actions through your votes for the worst President in a century, and the damage that has caused to our great country.

All the racist white people who hate the idea of black people in their “Whitehouse” are leeching right here. Racists one and all! You haters will seize on anything minor to rip on a Black Man, he was obviously tired from trying to whack his balls out of the giant sand trap the official told him he? was in, then he got a little pissy when he was told he was actually in Iraq, what’s the big deal?

As we all know, credibility has nothing to do with one's ability to be considered a 'credible source' - either by the Stream that is Main in the Media, or any other tributary for that matter.
Except, PBS. I like PBS.

Nice use of the word 'sconce' there by the way.

Not by you, Joe but if you don't think race has something to do with the Obama hatred then you are very naive.

Fact is, if you want change -- well there's Ron Paul who has polled as well as L'il Ricky Retardo.

Still, when the right is able to see that Obama is pretty much a right/center president like Clinton and has taken the knee to corporate interests just like Clinton then the opinion of the right might be of interest.

Meanwhile, with a recovering economy and a foreign policy that kills enough Muslims to keep you happy it's going to be tough to beat Obama.

You're voting on social issues and the religious right is a minority. The nation is tired of your act and the fact that all you've got to carry the banner is L'il Ricky who lost his last election by 20 points shows that it died along with Bachmann, Perry and the rest of the far right flotsam and jetsam.

The religious right is about as relevant as the horse drawn carriage.

Jo Joe - "Womanizing was absolutely no issue for the Democrat constituency when it was John Kennedy or Bill Clinton doing it. As we all know, character has nothing to do with one's ability to do the job of the presidency."

Once again, you completely miss the point.

Womanizing, in and of itself, is not the issue.

Fidelity or infidelity should be between the people directly involved and no one else's business.

Had Newt taken that position on Clinton's foibles during the Lewinski mess, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

It is not womanizing that is the issue with Newt it is the incredible HYPOCRISY of his loud condemnation of Clinton, insisting thet Clinton had "lost the moral authority to lead" while Newt was doing the EXACT SAME THING AT THE SAME TIME!

And now, when people try to hold him to the same moral standards that he held Clinton to, he calls it a visious attach by the liberal media in an attempt to protect Obama.

The man is insane and he has no credibility whatsoever.

No one is fighting harder to defeat Newt Gingrich than his own fellow Republicans who know him and worked with him. They would rather see Obama get another 4 years than see Newt in the White House.

JFK's peccadilloes weren't known until long after his death. It was before the media became obsessed with such things. Remember, it was the eve of the New Hampshire primary when the Jennifer Flowers story broke. Bill and Hill went on 60 minutes after the Super Bowl to address the charges. It was the Right that relentlessly pursued the sex angle.

It took Ken Starr, the phony Whitewater investigation and 44M tax payer dollars to find out Willy got a beej. All the while being morally scolded by Newt and Bob Livingston, both of whom had something on the side. I don't recall Newtie ever reacting to wall to wall coverage of the Lewinsky affair with righteous indignation over the airing of "trash".

Herman Cain is crucified over alleged affairs, none of which amounted to anything other than accusations which I suspect were well paid for.

Paid for by Herman Cain. It's not "alleged" that he paid off a couple women who accused him of sexual harassment. It happened. You can choose not to believe the women but enough Republicans turned against Herman that he dropped out.

Newt's ex-wife, who has no small ax to grind, comes forward with a preposterous story at a preposterous time, and MSM treats her like she had a sconce of credibility.

You know it's preposterous, how? You know Marianne well, do ya? Newt's admitted to several adulterous affairs, why is his asking for an open marriage preposterous? I couldn't care less about his affairs. Dumping his sick wives is another matter.

Joe, if you want to vote for the swinger, by all means, do so. Newt will be the greatest gift Obama could hope for.

You also said,

I'm all for hyperbole, but I question whether you have the academic standing necessary to advance a diagnosis of 'insane' - at least not credibly anyway.

And I imagine the man has quite a bit of credibility in certain circles.

Craig said,

It's the alleged affair that was not defined as 'adulterous' and to which he has not admitted that should concern us.

----

And we can probably make the extension, Craig, that it was the dreaded MSM that dropped the dime on Herman. They couldn't bear to see Obama face that kind of competition.

The other Republican candidates had nothing to do with the revelations concerning Herman.

Ducky's here said...

I believe Joe has forgotten that it was Newtie's own party that had him removed as speaker.

There is no hyphen in the Americanism, 'Okeydoke'. Even Newt 'The Poot' Gingrich would know that.
I suspect he puts an apostrophe in 'Finnegans Wake' and hyphenates 'serial polygyny' though.

Dearest Brokeback Cowboy's blog,

Seek yee the Queen's English as iterated in the OED.
'An American Dictionary of the English Language' is an oxymoron.
Besides Noah Webster was a Librul! Then again, he did say:

"She(the USA) laughs at their(Europe) folly and shuns their errors: She founds her empire upon the idea of universal toleration: She admits all religions into her bosom; She secures the sacred rights of every individual; and (astonishing absurdity to Europeans!) she sees a thousand discordant opinions live in the strictest harmony."

I'm not seeing a lot of 'harmony' in this comment section though.

He's right about Europe though - bunch of racist old-worlders! In Paris, when walking down the street, I would hear, "Hey chink(1). Come over here and suck my c***" Whereas in the US of A I would hear, "Hey pretty girl. Come over here and suck my c***"
I can live with that!

(1) I am not Chinese. I am Burmese. We hate them too!

Ours is a deep discussion on the homophonic and near-homophonic nature of early 20th Century American neologisms that possess a rhyming cadence with the many Okefenokee Swamp malapropisms extant south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
Perhaps you could adjudge the winner for us?

All the problems youse face in the United States today can be traced back to a woefully stupid and altogether unenlightened immigration policy on the part of the American Aboriginal.

The above is the result of the wholly serendipitous academic convergence of my thoughts and those of Pat Paulsen - who looked a lot like Ron Paul doncha think?
In 1992, Pat Paulsen came in second to George H. W. Bush in the North Dakota Republican Primary. In the 1992 Republican Party primaries he received 10,984 votes total.

Joe - Obama's administration found bin Laden and ran him to ground.

Obama was the one who made the decision to send in the Navy Seals instead of making a drone strike and hoping for the best.

Obama was the Commander in Chief who monitored the raid on bin Laden's compound in real time and gave the "kill order" to the Seals.

Obama pulled the executive trigger that took bin Laden out.

Bush had his shot at Tora Bora and he screwed the pooch.

And let me just add Gaddafi, Mubarek, Saleh, and soon to be al-Assad.

What did any of the Republican candidates do to contribute to the Arab Spring?

ANSWER: Nothing. They were filling their pockets taking money from poor people and getting rich abusing a system that favors millionaires at the expense of people (like you) who used to aspire to being a member of a sustainable Middle Class.

Anybody with over 32 brain cells will choose Obama over the clown car of conservative crazies that the Republicans are shameless enough to put forward as a candidate.

Craig said...

I'm picturing the cat giving paws up (affirmative) to the mission. If it had failed, I'm sure the conservatives would have laid the blame on Seal Team VI and not the Kitty in Chief.

Anyone is better than Obama, my cat could do a better job than Obama.

Make sure your cat is a rock ribbed conservative. Any liberal tendencies will put your cat in danger

Last night, I got the most chilling phone call I have ever received. It was Jake Burris, Ken Aden’s (Democrat) campaign manager. Last night, Jake and his four kids had come back to their Russellville home. As they were getting out of the car, one of his children discovered their family cat dead on the front porch. One side of the animal’s head had been bashed in and an eyeball was hanging out of its socket. But there was something even more horrifying to be found on the corpse.

Written across the animal’s fur in black marker was the word “LIBERAL“.

I'm not saying all conservatives are cat killers, but...

In the spirit of the "ABO REVISITED" movement, I would like to make my own observations.
First off, the debates.
The fact of the matter is that Newt is smarter than most of the people in the room, and three times smarter than Obama is. If the moderator asks relevant questions, he will get relevant answers. If he tries to drag out a 14 year old news story into the debate, Newt will make him look ridiculous. And it was ridiculous. And Newt did exactly what he had to do. What else should Newt have said? And it looks as if it paid off. ABC's attempt to tank the Newt candidacy failed, and King's attempt to drag that back into the discourse was clearly an attempt to do the same, and it backfired. Their strategy had the opposite effect that they had expected it to. Anyone with an ex spouse knows the potential for deception, and an objective person will discount it. If the moderator sticks to the issues, people will respect that.

As fir anyone but Obama, with Barack Obama's approval rating down near 42% and his Rasmussen approval index at -24--again--I think it's safe to say that people don't really like him much. And it's not just our Democrat president, but also our Republican Congress that is drawing the ire of voters. According to a recent poll, only 14% approve of Congress' handling of recent business

Ezzee Does it said...

There is no doubt that it will be an extremely tough general election due to the economy.
However there isn't any doubt in my mind that Obama is likely to win due to his accomplishments as well as the Republican Party's own self inflicted wounds from shooting each other down. And for that I say, thank you.
Nice try though.
