SUNDAY SAYINGS FROM OUR FOUNDERS-Samuel Huntington

Samuel Huntington

SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; PRESIDENT OF CONGRESS; JUDGE; GOVERNOR OF CONNECTICUT

"It becomes a people publicly to acknowledge the over-ruling hand of Divine Providence and their dependence upon the Supreme Being as their Creator and Merciful Preserver . . . and with becoming humility and sincere repentance to supplicate the pardon that we may obtain forgiveness through the merits and mediation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Z: YES! He was a founding father type!! Imagine that!

CB: My point, of course, is to refute those who claim we were given a secular government. The majority of our founders were not only Christians, they were fervent, vocal and passionate Christians who could not imagine their new country failing to know and follow God's principles.

Even Jefferson has been mischaracterized by these uninformed (or diliberately lying) liberals as a diest, when he was actually a Unitarian.

He is scheduled to be featured in about four weeks.
