GOOSEY-GOOSEY-GANDER

Carrie Prejean, Miss California and Miss USA runner-up, says she has no regrets about answering the question regarding "gay marriage" honestly.

Good for you, Carrie!

It took courage to give that answer.

She had to know that there would be those who would not agree with her stand...of course she did.

But take a stand she did.

There are those who are calling her all sorts of names for what she said. Just read the liberal blogs.

It seems that "freedom of speech " in this country applies to vile, vulgar people who like to swear and use pejoratives when referring to Carrie and other Americans, but not to Carrie, herself, if her opinions differ from theirs.

The source of the word, "hypocrite" comes from the Greek word "hypocrites" - One who plays a part. It is the classical Athenian word for an actor.

Thus, a "hypocrite" is one who pretends to be something he/she is not.

Liberals pretend to be open minded and for "freedom of speech."

But to them, open mindedness only works one way.

Their open mindedness includes using "Jesus Christ" as a swear word, even in public, but not as a serious religious reference, especially in public.

To a liberal, the simple act of disagreeing with them constitutes closed mindedness.

So if you believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, you are, by default, closed minded, but if you think marriage can be between two men or two women, you are open minded.

In general (please note the use of that word), liberals are the personification of the word, "hypocrite."

For them, the goose/gander standard does not exist.

The likes of this person are few and far between in this country...Someone with principles and faith. God has a special place for people like her. Her greater reward will not be in this world.....stay well..

Joe, forgive my interruption of your comment thread for my shameless self promotion, but I really would like to know your thoughts on an entry I posted on My religious blog.

On this subject, I can do naught but shake my head in wonderment at the blatant hypocrisy of the Liberals these days. But, that said, I went to Perez Hilton's blogsite and listened to his whole video rant, and he made it clear that he wasn't angry at her for her views. He even explained he believed in her right to have that opinion, but he said she didn't answer the question as it was put to her.

Weak excuse, I know, but what can I say? He's a stupid Liberal!

Tapline: I think you're right. God has a special place for her.

Mark: You are neither an interruption nor shameless. I went to your blog and left a comment on the post.

Freedom of speech, what's that?
Libs hate the concept of free speech until it looks like they are the ones being impeded.

I agree. Totally.

Joe,

I saw a gentleman on O'Reilly say, "Of course she's entitled to her own opinion even if it's wrong.". They just make up the rules as they go along.

Even if it's wrong..Unreal

You fundies are something else. Who ever said say she didn't have the right to say what she did?

Lots of people diagree and criticize her, but criticism is not the same as saying she doesn't have a right to say what's on her mind.

Y'all are just a bunch of rapture right chicken littlers.

Cluck cluck cluck!!! Blah blah blah!!

Can't wait to hear y'all scream when the pharmacies start passing out the Plan B pills like Skittles on Halloween!

Woot!!!

(Ohhh The Horror!)

AMEN, Joe! And, Tapline? She'll be wearing a real crown where it really matters, won't she!

Also, talk about hypocrisy, did you hear the cheering after she said what she did? the mainstream media, and Perez Hilton, have characterized those cheers for her as boos...I mean, you can't make this up! LOUD CHEERS (see the video).

Mark...he also said "she shouldn't have POLITICIZED her answer". What kind of answer wouldn't have been political? I'm stumped!?

Liberals poison everything they touch. In this case, they took an American institution and fouled it with their immoral ideology. The winner, Miss North Carolina, should give up her crown and condemn the corrupt homosexual activists who have ruined this once fine pageant. As we can see by Ration Al's comments, liberals are mean-spirited haters who respect no American traditions and who do not know how to function in a civil society. These are damaged people who are determined to tear down everything that is good and honorable about this country.

KrisEveland: Thanks for the visit. For the liberal mind, free speech means the right to be vile and vulgar and to use irresponsible speech.

Bette Jo: I agree with your agreement.

Bluepitbull: Somehow the liberal mind can't see that "...even if it is wrong..." is a judgement. And they're the worse at saying, "Don't judge me..."

Sparky: Thansks for the visit. See above.

Ration Al: While I appreciate the visit, your point seems to be "...let's just call them names, since I don't have the intelligence to make a ration al comment."

Z: You got it! Right on! When I watched the show I heard the same thing you did.

LR: The pageant will never be the same, and I will not watch it again. I'm sure they are crying their heads off realizing that they are losing me.

Mark said...

Z, You're right, of course. I watched it, but didn't catch that line.

The question itself was politicized. How could she not have "politicized" the answer?

She had the 1st amendment right to say what she said. He had the 1st amendment right to respond the way he did.

The difference is she was polite and he was rude. Who doesn't think being rude is objectionable?

Plus, she answered the question with her convictions, without regard to what's considered nowadays to be politically correct, and that took bravado.

If that doesn't better qualify her to represent the USA than an answer like "World Peace", I'll eat my hat.

Perez Hilton, or whatever his/her real name is, isn't worthy of holding her coat for her.

Mark: Your response to Z is, like Carrie Prejean, a perfect 10.

Sorry Joey - this is what you said:

"It seems that "freedom of speech " in this country applies to vile, vulgar people who like to swear and use pejoratives when referring to Carrie and other Americans, but not to Carrie, herself, if her opinions differ from theirs."

OK? You said that Carrie's critics were somehow denying her freedom of speech.

And guess what Joey boy, I've only heard criticism, which is a whole lot different.

Like I said in my comment above.

Keep on blathering away that liberals are supressing freedom of speech, when if fact they are just criticising.

You fundies are really something else - talk about hypocrites.

When Obama says something, Joey, what do you do, and how do you react?

You guys are pathetic.

Keep prayin, maybe one day you"ll get it right.

Joe said...

Ration Al: 'And guess what Joey boy, I've only heard criticism, which is a whole lot different."

Guess what Ratie: The truth is not dependent on what you've heard.

"Keep on blathering away that liberals are supressing freedom of speech, when if fact they are just criticising."

Criticism is one thing, but when the criticism is on the air waves and consists of asserting that "she is entitled to her opinion even if it is wrong," is the height of elitism and arrogance. Fact is, she was right, not wrong.

So, how do you react when I assert that it was the commentator who was wrong, not Carrie?

"You fundies are really something else - talk about hypocrites."

AND

"You guys are pathetic."

That is the typical name calling and unintelligent, knee-jerk, emotional reaction that you guys live by because you have no ability to engage in discourse.

If I am wrong, then how about engaging in some factual discourse to prove me wrong.

Go ahead. Engage.

See, you can't do it.

By the way, that is very close to disparaging the other commenters on my blog, and that is not allowed. It gets you very close to being deleted.

You will react to this in the same irrational way you reacted to the previous statement about you, because you don't know how to do otherwise.

You THINK you're being rational when you write, but you lack the continuity in your thought process to actually BE rational, and you don't seem to know it.

As long as your speech is clean (see today's [Friday] post for an explanation), you'll not be deleted, but do try to be less reactive and more intellectual in your comments.

It will help you and everybody else.
