Earth Day is coming up this week. During the Clinton administration, the day was used as an excuse to throw a massive party on the National Mall. I could always tell when it was Earth Day because, driving to work that night, trash would be blowing like tumbleweeds across Independence Avenue.

Compare that to the massive rally thrown by Rush Limbaugh in Castle Rock (I think) Colorado some years ago. NO littering.

I don't think that this behavior should surprise anyone. The other day I saw a woman with an obama/biden sticker on her car throw a lit cigarette out of her car even though there is a burn ban in affect here.

With libs, it's all about them. That is what they are indoctrinating in the schools and on the news. We wouldn't have an obama/biden team if people weren't about the 'quick,drive-through, feel-good mentality' today.

With earth day coming up, you can be sure that there will be a reflective heat from all of the trash on the earth that will make "The Day After" look like a walk in the park.

I ask anyone to enlighten me. Give me one valid reason why you or anyone else should NOT use his admiration for Wright as an indication of his personal sentiments.

Great Pictures! The hypocrisy of the left in full view right there takes some really special kind of truth avoidance blinders. How they do it is beyond me.

LR and PitBull: How ironic that Earth Day will be one of the trashiest days of the year.

IAGNB: I can't think of a single reason.

John P: You got tht right. Thanks for the visit, BTW.

It's the quality of people.

Joe said...

Shoprat: I believe that there are more people who do more harm to the environment among liberals than among conservatives, even though the liberals scream the loudest about caring for the environment.

With liberals it always about THEIR freedom to do what THEY want to do while requiring others to do what THEY say they SHOULD do.

I don't think it's necessarily the quality of people, but rather the sense of responsibility of the people.

Joe said...

(O)CT(O)PUS: In your ignorance, you confused name calling with a description of behavior. One who does not tell the truth is, by definition, a liar. One who calls people names is a name caller.

See how that works?

Do I need to make it clearer?

Fear not, I was not planning a second trip to your site.

You chose to use a pejoritive term that is descriptive of the aborrent behavior of gay men to describe the Tea Parties.

That was not true and it was un-manly of you.

It was most certainly not worthy of civilized discussion and the whole tone of your post was snide, hypocritical ridicule of the lowest kind...pretty typical of everything of yours I have ever read...ever.

You are a crude, filthy, low-life, whose command of the English language is limited to stark vulgarisms...no more.

You are the Garafalo of the male sex and have to look up to see her feet.

Good thing you won't see this. You probably wouldn't understand it anyway. I used words with more than four letters in them.

Well, that's about all the time I can waste responding to your comment. I have other fish to fry.

Bye.

Tom: I understand what you are saying, but I have a feeling that the quality of the people is reflected to one degree or another in their sense of responsibility.

Obviously the people at that location in the Washington Mall that day did not take responsibility for their environment.

For those of you wondering what that diatribe aimed at (O)CT(O)PUS was about, I visited his blog at which he referred to the Tea Party goers as teabaggers and made several untrue references to them.

I commented on his post, pointing out the error of his ways to which he took extreme offense.

He then came over here and left a very unkind comment in which he could not resist exercising what he thought was his right to profanity.

He also banned me from his blog and proclaimed that he would never vist here again.

I am so sad...NOT.

(Don't tell him, but he can only ban me from commenting, and that only by deleting my comments. He can't keep me from visiting and reading. But don't let him know. I'll try to be very stealthy.)

In the last couple of weeks I have been seeing any more lefties trolling through conservative sites. They must have gotten orders from the mother ship.
They can get to be a real pain since most of them are incapable of reasoned discourse. They seem to think that unfounded slanders and baseless accusations of evil qualify as debate. You can go back and forth with them at length but they never seem to learn that their lack of evidence and lack of connected chains of reasoning leaves them eternally a whining, cursing child. I can see the lefties causing conservatives to sharpen their powers of observation and reasoning. But the lefties' inability to learn or improve can be frustrating.

Just so you'll know, (O)CT(O)PUS came back and left not one, but two comments, after saying he would not be back.

Then he objected to being deleted!

What a broken logic process!

When you do something that you say you are not going to do, guess what that makes you.

I'll save you the trouble: A LIAR.

Now I am not the one who said he would not be back, HE SAID IT.

Then he came back.

Keeps turning up like a bad dollar (pennies are so passe).

Methnks this is a case of "last-wordism." But since this is MY blog, guess who will have the last word?

Indeed, Joe. A picture is worth a thousand words...

I was about to ask if I missed an Octopus somewhere, but I kept reading. Ooooh I LOVE stealth! He sounds eerily familiar to a Gray-headed somebody we once all knew...

'Ban' you from his site...sometimes these folks make me snicker!

Susannah said...

I'm pretty good at stealth, too...

Joe said...

Susannah: Very stealthy of you!
