WE FINALLY GOT HIM!

Osama Ben Ladin is DEAD!

That is a good thing.

This was one of history's most vicious, dangerous and vile human beings.

I'm glad he's gone.

President BO deserves a lot of credit for this one...even though there are some "loose-end" questions yet to be answered (from the world of timeing, methodology and propriety).

He would not have been able to accomplish this most necessary task had the ground-work not been laid by George W. Bush.

Both men should be revered for their part in this historic event.

Now, in my humble, but correct opinion, it is time to wipe Pakistan off the map and smear her remains on someone's wall like so much nasal mucus.

With Ben Ladin in a million dollar compound, 35 miles from the capital, in a squalid neighborhood, near a military installation, there is no way they did not know his whereabouts.

They knew.

But they weren't telling.

They harbored a world-class criminal and should now pay the price.

So now we will watch to see whether this administration has the stick-to-it-iveness to stay focused on protecting this country from world-wide terrorism or not.

I'm watching...are you?

I agree, in fact I just did a blog about it this morning.

I refuse to give Obama credit for the successful conclusion to this operation.

If he is due any credit at all, it is for not rescinding Bush's standing order to neutralize Osama, and in continuing Bush's policies without shutting down and pulling out of the area.

By the way, did you heard that Obama wanted to Sleep On Making The Decision of going ahead with the raid! So he took 16 hours for him to finally decide to go ahead with the mission.
He left the room and keep all those military commanders and the Navy Seals hanging while he said he would 'sleep on it' before taking 16 hours to give the go-ahead to raid Bin Laden's compound. So much for Big Brave Rambo.

I will grudgingly give some due credit to Obama, but he sure is taking a whole bunch of credit with his "I" this and "I" that.

The Navy SEALs deserve the credit for sure.

So much nasal mucous? You have a descriptive bent, don't you Joe? Eeeww! But yeah, if we can't get rid of them we should at least stop sending them bunches of money!

Congratulations to President Bush for paving the way, and to President Obama for carrying out Bush's Policy's in the War On Terror, although you really didn't want to.

Fredd: You're a very agreeable person.

the malcontent: I read it!

Mark: If you don't give it to him, he'll just take it.

the malcontent: Yeah...he wouldn't want to hurry...might keep something dire from happening.

Leticia: the Seals get 100% credit!

BetteJo: Remember: you can pick your nose and you can pick your friends, but you can't smear your friends on the wall.

Anon: I guess.

The New York Daily News reported:
"George W. Bush’s decision not to join President Obama at Ground Zero might have had more to do with an evolving game over credit for Osama bin Laden’s death than simply a desire to stay out of the spotlight.

The New York Daily News reports that Bush viewed Obama’s Thursday trip to lower Manhattan “as an Obama victory lap,” according to “a highly-placed” anonymous person.

“He doesn't feel personally snubbed and appreciates the invitation, but Obama's claiming all the credit and a lot of other people deserve some of it,” the person told the paper. “Obama gave no credit whatsoever to the intelligence infrastructure the Bush administration set up that is being hailed from the left and right as setting in motion the operation that got Bin Laden. It rubbed Bush the wrong way.”

Bush’s official explanation for turning down the White House’s invitation was that he wanted to keep his post-presidency private.

The White House suggested Wednesday that by appearing with Obama at Ground Zero, Bush would have had an opportunity to show that Americans can come together just as they did after the attacks 10 years ago."

This is the the first time, I agree with a New York newspaper

Caramba! Muy mucho macho.

Joe, you know they have nukes, right? And we don't want them giving enriched stuff to the bad guys.

Keep thinking guys, that's what you do best.

Joe said...

Ducky: They ARE the bad guys. Any thought that they are our "allies" is totally foolish.

There is no way they haven't know where OBL was for years. His compound was right under their collective big noses.

The sheltered and protected him, and it took SEALS to get him.

Pakistan could not share nukes with anybody if they've been wiped off the map.

CM: Bush did the right thing both politically and socially. It is he who is the thinker, not President BO.

WHT: Bless them, indeed.

You know what I can't figure out? Obama wants to take all the credit for killing Osama, and as long as we all think Osama was armed and dangerous, Obama can make political hay out of the whole thing, but...

Now they change their story and say bin Laden was not armed, but they killed him anyway. Doesn't Obama understand that his mindless supporters may see this as bloodthirsty war mongering, something Obama continually stands against?

I don't understand this turn of events. Can anyone offer a plausible explanation for this apparent act of political self destruction?
