I think it would be considered a gutsy call to decide to stand before the American people and take credit for something George W. Bush and the entire American military had been working toward long before anyone ever heard of Barack Hussein Obama.
It is also a gutsy call to decide to ignore the fact that waterboarding led to the demise of Osama bin Laden.
Wonderful....Bill is SO GOOD. I'm linking this for 'bd' at my place; he/she won't read the whole thing because the pain will be too intense, but I can try to show a leftwinger the truth. thanks, Joe, excellent video.
In my humble, but correct, opinion, it is not gutsy to do what everybody else said should be done. What is gutsy is to go against the grain. President BO sucks his finger, places it in the air, sees which way the liberal winds are blowing and goes that way.
This guy is a something. He talks about Clinton pulling out of Somalia but he doesn't mention the precedent set but Saint Ronnie Raygun when he let America show its arse for everyone to see at the Beirut airport. You guys always ignore that one.
I get a kick out of him talking about freedom in the Middle East. Likud fired on peaceful demonstrators who were on the Lebanese side of the barrier and caused over 100 casualties. Now you know and I know that with Egypt opening the Gaza border and brokering a union between Fatah and Hamas that we aren't going to let this "freedom" thing get out of hand. We'll do what Likud tells us to do and enbolden terrorists just like Raygun did at Beirut, right Joe?
I think Whittle is starting a few of those memes himself.
How does he know definitively what was revealed through water boarding? Was he privy to the briefings?
Was it through water boarding that we learned that bin Laden used a courier? All of the leaders used couriers, this was common knowledge.
Did KSM reveal the name? Some sources state that he gave a false lead and said the courier had retired. Any chance the water boarding produced false leads that tied up our intelligence for years? How would we know? How would this Whittle fool know? How does Mark know(Hint: He doesn't have a clue)? How do we discover the truth, Joe? So important in a democracy. Do we just eat whatever something like Whittle puts on our plate?
Z does, but she gets the vapors if anything contrary starts to invade her world.
I was born in Miami, Florida, the son of an Air Force officer, traveled the world, was saved at age 17, and have served the Lord since. That's me on the left and my lovely wife, Bonnie...the pretty one...on the right.

FOUR PRINCIPLES THAT DEFINE TRUE CONSERVATISM:
1. Respect for The Constitution
2. Respect for Life
3. The Smallest Possible Government
4. Individual Responsibility
This blog is about my philosophy of government, which is a very conservative philosophy.
You are not required to agree with me (although you would be better off if you did).
I am biased toward conservatism, and make no apologies for that.
Freedom means not being controlled by the government, that being the very reason we declared our independence from Great Britain.
Government's job is not to provide things for people, but to provide the opportunity for people to persue the things they want via the vehicles of freedom and responsibility.

Mark: Gutsy is as gutsy does.

Z: I think he is good, too.
Joe, unfortunately you and the Lone Ranger are Preaching to the Choir
the malcontent: True...but it still needs to be said. Thanks to LR for having said it.
Joe said...

Joe, I know that, you are correct in saying it and in posting it.
Don't get me wrong.
Hear! Hear! Common knowledge which, unfortunately, isn't so common.
Osama got Obama. Bush let him go and said he "didn't think about him much."
Bush failed.
This guy is a master of spin and revisionism.

Republicans are useless in war.
Oh Joe, let's get back to the discussion on oil prices.
If indeed it is a supply problem, do we have a shortage of crude or gasoline and why would I make the distinction.
Don't walk into a straight right here, Joe but give it a try.
Hint: You'll have to research American refining capacity. Be careful.

So many memes, so little truth.
Ducky: How often ae you drunk when you post comments? Some of your sentences don't make any sense at all.
In which government schools were you educated?
Why don't you read back over your comments and correct the grammar and syntax so that they make sense.
Go ahead...I'll wait.
(Play Jeapardy theme music here.)
No answers, eh Mr. Hyperbole (Joe doesn't want to kill innocent Muslims).
Ducky: Are there innocent Muslims?
Of what are they innocent?
Civilians who have committed no transgression against us.
You know, people who just want to live and raise their families.
Ducky: Typical liberal response. Misdirection.
You didn't answer my question.
Can't you?
You have often heard the term "innocent civilian" I assume.
They are "innocent" for not having done anything that would make them legitimate targets of evangelical bigots. Don't be a sophist.
Now, since you have stated that you have complete command of the complex mechanics of gas pricing, do we have a crude shortage or a gasoline shortage?
Ducky: We may or may not have an abundance of crude oil, but we sure have an abundance of crude commenters.
And if I want to be a "sophist," who are you to tell me I can't be one?
Why, I can even start a sentence with the word "and" if I want to.
