EVER THE AMATEUR

On May 10, 2011, President BO gave a speech in which he said:

"Look at Intel and Google and Yahoo and eBay – these are great American companies that have created countless jobs and helped us lead the world in high-tech industries. Every one was founded by an immigrant. We don’t want the next Intel or Google to be created in China or India. We want those companies and jobs to take root in America."

"Every one was founded by an immigrant?"

Hmmm.

Intel was founded by Gordon Moore (from San Francisco, California) and Robert Noyce (from Burlington, Iowa) and Andy Grove, a Hungarian legal immigrant.

Google was founded by Google was co-founded by Larry Page (East Lansing Michigan) and Sergey Brin (legal immigrant from Russia).

Yahoo was co-founded by Jerry Yang (Chinese heritage born in San Jose, California) and David Filo (Wisconsin---that's in America---).

eBay was co-founded by Pierre Omidyar (a French-born Iranian-American entrepreneur and philanthropist/economist) and Jeffrey Skoll (Canadian born living in Los Angeles, CA).

So, would some of you Obama lovers please explain the statemet: "Every one was founded by an immigrant?"

Could he not have been more correct to have said, "Every one was founded by Americans and legal immigrants?"

Maybe it would not have served his speech's agenda.

Or maybe he's just still the rank amateur he was when he took office.

Forgive me but I just wanted to see what a Rabble Rousing Blogger looked like... LOL. When I read this, I was curious.

Rabble rousing bloggers - that I will not dignify them as conservative - are just as ignoble as any terrorist, IMHO (and you all know how I feel about visiting those places - a waste of time). Whether these idiots mean it or are merely venting steam, railing against them will make no difference. They deny everything and are immune to shame.

The omission of that one simple word has spawned thousands of pointless arguments.

There is no point arguing with someone who refuses to qualify the status of an immigrant with the word, "Illegal". It is the entire crux of the Conservatives objection to illegal immigration.
