THE TIME HAS COME

Vote.

If this process is to work, people need to be involved, and that means get up off your...your...your couch and go vote.

You have all the information you need.

You know which candidate wants to change the very nature of this country, its Constitution, its tax practices, its distribution of wealth and its reverence for life: the man who ran on the theme of "change," Barack Obama.

You know which candidate loves and has fought for this country, reveres the Constitution, wants to lower taxes, let you keep what you work hard for and who respects life, in agreement with the Declaration of Independence, John McCain.

So, now that you have decided which America you want, go vote.

Be reminded that if you choose the path of BO, there will be no turning back, for the power of the centralized government will increase to the point that it will no longer give you a say in how the country is run.

Be also reminded that the system we have used, though not perfect, has shown itself to work well, if somewhat slowly. To keep that one, choose the path of McCain.

Either way, please get to the polls and vote.

This might well be your last chance.

This is not a true statement.

I challenge you to back this up with any facts.

But you won't because you can't.

You'll just delete this comment because it conflicts with your world view.

xavier: It is my belief.

I am entitled to have a belief, and I am entitled to express my belief.

You are not required to agree with my belief.

I do not hold that belief blindly, but from an amalgamation of what BO has said during this long, involved process.

If you do not think it is so, and if you like BO's projected policies, then by all means, vote for him.

If we are still allowed to blog freely two years from now, come back and tell me I was wrong.

I eat almost anything I can get my hands on, including humble pie.

But I doubt it will be necessary if BO wins.

I have never deleted a comment of yours because it disagreed with me. I only delete those that are disrespectful to me or my other commenters, or that I deem to have come from a nasty attitude.

You seem to have a very difficult time knowing the difference or why it is important.

As much as you and I and most of the rest of us are plugging for the Mccain/Palin ticket people like this.

Are defeating our purpose.

Joe, Well, I think I will bury my head in the sand again........my daughter came home and said "I voted". I said I hope you voted for Mac. She said why??? At that point I knew.....Iasked her why she voted for OB and she said why not.....I then said if I have to explain it to you....Forget it...It was too late anyway.....I hope we don't have too many out there like that, but unfortunately, I think the young don't think beyond their nose....stay well....

Well-said, Joe. And hey, Xavier: pay attention. You're being typically ignorant.

tapline: Just remember, it is very hard to breathe there.

pcc: Thanks. I wonder whether xavier even noticed that he was not deleted.

I sat down with my wife and 18 year old daughter, we went over all the candidates, and ballot issues. We helped her make educated decisions. My son is in the Navy, I hope his vote is counted. I don't want BO but, I sure could use the free gas and have my mortgage paid by all of you.
