WHAT IS THE STATE OF THE UNION?

Tomorrow night (as I write this) President BO (the amateur president) will present his State of the Union address to the nation.

The Republican response will be delivered by Marco Rubio, of my home state, Florida.

Anybody who thinks the state of the union is OK, is blind, wearing rosy colored glasses, is ignorant or some combination of the three.

So, what should Marco Rubio say when he delivers his response?

He should speak well of the president when the president tells the truth.

He won't have anything to use for that.

Rubio should call the president out when he lies, deflects, misrepresents or ignores.

That will give him lots to talk about.

If President BO (tap) indicates that the country is gradually improving, Rubio should call him out on it.

The country is NOT improving, it is getting worse.

If PBO (tap) says unemployment is up, he will be lying and Rubio should call him out on it..

So many people have left the workforce, having given up hope, that the numbers no longer reflect what is actually happening. The actual number of people eligible to work who are not working has gone up since Obama took office.

If the president says inflation is under control, Rubio should call him out on it.

Prices in almost every sector are skyrocketing.

If Obama says that the country is overall improved, Rubio should call him out on it.

GDP has decreased under BO.

If President BO (the amateur president) says housing starts are up, Rubio should call him out on it.

The housing starts figures have been manipulated to make it seem like starts are up when they are actually flat in real figures.

If PBO (tap) touts his ObamaCare, Rubio should call him out on it.

ObamaCare will raise taxes (as confirmed by SCOTUS), on almost everybody, even the middle and lower class!

The truth is, President BO (the amateur president) has nothing on his side except those duped into thinking he is the political messiah for our country: liberals, progressives and leftists.

I know what to expect from Obama. He is who he is.

I am really looking forward to hearing Marco Rubio's response.

Go get 'em, Marco!

We'll see if Marco takes the gloves off, I suspect he will not.

He will likely sugar coat his response as to not appear nasty, mean spirited and evil, since that is what the MSM will endeavor to portray him at every turn.

If you are expecting red meat from Sen. Rubio, Joe, I think you are in for disappointment.

Of course, I could be wrong, and hope I am wrong. But I am usually right.

The state of the union is all screwed up

I absolutely think that we should take a lesson from the Democrats and welcome all these rappers, gang bangers, illegals, crack heads, prostitutes, welfare cheats, illegal Alien moochers, lazy food-stamp collecting bums and others like them , into the Republican party with open arms.

Because without them our beloved GOP is doomed .. As we saw in the past 2 elections technically it works!

Of course, what you neglect Joe, is that Rubio will be followed by Rand "Loony as His Father" Paul, who will give you an object lesson on the craziness that is still rampant in the Repub party.

All Rubio can do is try to make the contemporary right look sane.
Even Fredd may be able to understand that "taking the gloves off" is exactly what Rubio CANNOT do. He has to move the Rethugs to the center.

I suppose you want to take on Obama over sequestration and close things down. However, if you've been paying attention, Wall Street has told them in no uncertain terms to cut the crap.

So continue pretending you are a force in contemporary America and continue to think yours is a sane "reality". It's really becoming sad.

The real shame is that we can;'t get real solutions because everyone mostly Obama is busy playing politics. You can't even vet a decent candidate without Obama releasing his attack dogs on them.
The best thing I would like to hear is "I resign" and take Joe with him.

I think you put it well Joe. f Rubio follows that we can be in pretty good shape but again you have the let wing attack dogs in the media who are ready to call him the token Hispanic. Oh wait they already did that.
See what I mean?

Fredd: I think you're right about the disappointment, sadly.

DB: ASU---correct!

Ducky: "Of course, what you neglect Joe, is that Rubio will be followed by Rand "Loony as His Father" Paul<"

I didn't neglect anything. I was writing about Rubio's response. Nothing more.

Lisa: I won't hold my breath for Rubio, but I will hold out hope.

At What Point do you Obama supporters stop swallowing Obama's CRAP???
There is a GROWING number of people that swallowed Obama's (in his OWN Words.."It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned."CRAP"!

President Obama has a split 46 - 45 percent job approval, according to the independent Quinnipiac (KWUIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll, down from 53 - 40 percent approval among registered voters in December, a month after his re-election.
National (US) Poll * February 8, 2013 * Hillary Clinton Is Most Popula

This decline is in direct correlation with more people who are seeing:
1) Paychecks reduced due to more payroll taxes deducted..FACT: 77% of Americans' paychecks saw payroll taxes increase!

Crap/lies coming from Obama..."I can make a firm pledge: Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

2) Seeing their employers DROPPING their health insurance ...

FACT: "The result ObamaCare which today McKinsey & Company commissioned a survey of 1,329 U.S. private sector employers to measure their attitudes about healthcare reform concluded that 30% of all companies would stop providing health coverage once Obamacare kicked in in 2014.

CRAP/LIES Promises people swallowed!
"If you like your health-care plan, you keep your health-care plan. Nobody is going to force you to leave your health-care plan. If you like your doctor, you keep seeing your doctor. I don't want government bureaucrats meddling in your health care."

The more people hear/read from this phony President the more people are understanding this guy is out to destroy our country!

3) And for those of you that ONLY voted because he was black?? Here is a SUCCESSFUL much smarter, much blacker black man who is shooting holes through Obama's LIES!

Dr. Benjamin Carson

Dr. Ben: Their support for ObamaCare comes not from their study of the issues, but of an ideological stance beyond which they cannot see.

I believe Obama is stuck on Sophomorism and really believes he knows what America SHOULD be like and he's going to make it that way, even if it means bankruptcy, diminishes respect in the world, everybody on the government dole, or whatever.

Tell us what aspects of "our country" have improved over the last 4 years:

economy no
debt no
deficit no
unemployment no
people on welfare no
people on food-stamps no
people in poverty no
military strength no
balance of trade no
healthcare no
infrastructure no
gas prices no
food prices no
housing prices no
college tuition no
violence in cities no

So again, if Obama is not destroying our country, who is?

Redfish: Good list. Well said.

Your going to have a difficult time trying to ignore the schism, Joe.

The Republican Party is shattered right now and without a coherent voice.

Just be glad its an off election year and hope you can somehow come up with workable policy. The old tinkle down supply side stuff and the culture wars won't do.

Reagonomics has so deeply cut damaged the economy that disgruntled males who think immigrants have taken their jobs are going to continue to give the likes of Rand Paul a shot in the arm.

Ducky's here said...

Redfish, you imply that those are problems that magically appeared in 2008. Silly.

By the way, the producers think gas prices are just fine. Now if you want to adopt the Venezuelan model...

Joe said...

Ducky: "...you imply that those are problems that magically appeared in 2008."

That's funny. I read the same list and didn't see that implication at all.

What I DID see is that BO has done nothing to help any of those areas, and much to hurt most of them.
