HE'S JUST BRILLIANT!

"Hi. This is the President. Is Senator Lieberman in?"

"Not today, Sir. This is Yom Kippur."

"Well, hello, Yom. Can I leave a message?"

Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, stood by his tweet calling Friday's unemployment rate of 7.8 percent "unbelievable."

"I have no idea where this number came from," he told Fox News. "I don't know what the right number is, but I'll tell you these numbers dont smell right when you think about where the economy is right now."

Following Friday's report that the unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent, Welch wrote in a tweet: "Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can't debate so change numbers."

Welch wasn't the only one offering conspiracy theories though; Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) wrote on his Facebook page that the unemployment rate fell below 8 percent through "manipulation of data" and CNBC personality Rick Santelli said "I told you they'd get it under 8 percent -- they did! You can let America decide how they got there!"

The unemployment numbers aren't real. They never are real when it involves the Democrats!
Does anyone know how the unemployment rate is determined? The Department of Labor calls a few thousand households and asks people if they’ve looked for a job in the last two weeks. If they say “no,” they are not considered part of the labor force and therefore, not counted as unemployed. I’m not kidding about this.

Dishonest Unemployment Numbers Indeed!

Is anyone aware that these "Numbers" include Campaign Workers? And these people will be OUT of work come November!

Another day, another conspiracy. I know you American Patriots were hoping and praying for bad economic news. Good news for America is bad news for Mittens. Why do you hate America?

Accusing the BLS of cooking the books is a serious charge. Making it without a scintilla of evidence is either ballsy or completely nuts. Oy, Teabaggers. You're not helping your cause.

On the bright side, the unemployment rate for government workers is only about 4.5 percent.

Here in the DC area, they are tearing down shopping centers to build luxury apartments. Just plain old apartments aren't good enough for highly-paid bureaucrats.

Craig proves Immutable Truth About Liberals #19. Liberals always choke on their own medicine.

Didn't Harry Reid make a serious charge without a scintilla of evidence when he accused Mitt Romney of not paying any taxes for a decade? Of course, that was neither ballsy nor nuts -- wait, it was nuts.

Didn't Stephanie Cutter make a serious charge without a scintilla of evidence when she accused Mitt Romney of being a felon? Nuts again.

Liberals, why do you hate the Truth?

There's a big difference, Lone. Harry didn't accuse Mitt of not paying income tax for 10 years, to put a fine point on it. He said someone told him that. Harry may be lying and Mitt could easily prove it, do what every candidate since his father ran has done, release those 10 years of tax returns. Someone is lying, Harry's source, Harry or Mitt. One of them has proven he has no regard for the truth, Mittens. Did you watch the debate? Mitt forcefully, confidently and skillfully delivered a pack of lies.

The BLS posts all their information and methodology online for anyone to see. The same methodology they've used for 40 years. If there is evidence, it will be there. Otherwise, you conspiracy nuts are accusing 2500 BLS employees, most of them career accountants, statisticians and economists of a massive cover up.

Cutter didn't accuse Mitt of being a felon. She made a true statement that either Mitt was lying to us when he said he had nothing to do with Bain after 1999 or he was lying in his '01' and '02' SEC filings where he signed off as CEO, sole owner and share holder of Bain. The latter is a felony. That is absolutely true.

7.8 UE, 14.7 U6 and 114,000 job gain for Sept. is still crappy but it's a little better than it was. The fact is, you are either so blinded by your hatred of Obama or your allegiance to a Republican party whose policies tanked the global economy that you have to invent a conspiracy rather than except a little good news for your country.

And you call yourselves patriots, very sad.

Oh, well, that makes all the difference. Insinuation is FAR less damaging than slander! Pffft. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Immutable Truth About Liberals #8. Liberals cannot be embarrassed. They lack the gene to blush.

That gives them the power to say anything, no matter how stupid.

Lone, I said Harry may be lying. If he did, he should be ashamed of himself. Mitt can easily heap shame on him by releasing his tax returns. When Mitt's daddy released 12 years of returns, he said,

One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul.

What's Mitt ashamed of?

Cutter made a factual statement re an either/or proposition. I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Everything I write here is factual (as best as I can determine) and I back it up. If I'm wrong, I admit it.

I'm not the one crying conspiracy. It's an insult to the non-partisan employees at BLS and to Americans working hard to dig out of the giant pile of excrement dropped on us by Bush and the Republicans. Have you no shame?
