WELL I SWEAR!

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

That is what every president since George Washington has recited when assuming the presidency.

Some have added the words, "So help me, God," but not all.

With or without those closing words, an oath is an oath.

If an oath is not an oath, then there is no point in oathing.

An oath is a promise to do, say or be something.

The president promises to execute his office faithfully (Get it? He is the head of the executive branch of government, so he executes the office).

He also promises to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Some presidents violated their office by failing to faithfully execute the office of the presidency.

Others have violated their office by failing to preserve (to maintain something in its original or existing state; to keep - to maintain - to conserve - to protect - to save - to retain) the Constitution.

There have been some who violated their office by failing to protect (to keep safe from harm; to aim to preserve) the Constitution.

Still other presidents have failed to defend (to resist an attack; to protect from harm or danger; to speak or write in favor of; to attempt to justify) the Constitution.

President BO (the child president) has violated all four aspects of his oath of office.

He has failed to execute his office faithfully. He has redefined his powers, redefined his rights and redefined his commission.

President BO (the child president) has failed to preserve the Constitution. He has circumvented it, he has demeaned it and he has ignored it. He even wrote that it is flawed because it says what government cannot do and does not say what government CAN do (which, of course, is exactly what the framers intended).

Furthermore, he has failed to protect the Constitution. He has allowed it to be prostituted, he has allowed it to be attacked and he has allowed it to be violated with impunity.

Finally, he has failed to defend the Constitution. He has spoken against it, he has allowed his staff and cabinet to speak against it and he has allowed it to be changed ex-populus (without the vote of the people through the amendment process).

Whatever his roots, whatever his heritage, whoever his life-long associated, whatever his ideology, President BO (the child president) has failed to fulfill his oath of office.

And that makes him unworthy of being re-elected.

If he cannot be trusted to keep his promises about his office (never minding his campaign rhetoric), what CAN he be trusted to do?

Still whining about the health care ruling, I see.

My, don't it drag on.

Ducky:

You call it whining, I call it orating. I call it pontificating, at worst.

I call Joe's pointing out the truth, uh, er....pointing out the truth.

Ducky: I'm not talking about the health care ruling. I'm talking about President BO (the child president)'s entire presidency and before.

He does not like and will not preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.

But you like that about him. That's who you are, too.

Joe, more of Ducky's bait and switch :-) Ignore the topic, hard to refute; pick something else and attack.!

Glenn's right, of course.

and you make such a good point; reading that oath is amazing when we consider what he's done and not done.

Odd that Obama said "God bless AMerica" after a speech the other day, I was surprised. But, it's election season.
Man, the lies are FLOWING. And AMericans don't question.

What topic z.

Joe doesn't like Obama's presidency and it doesn't conform to JOE'S (not Scotus) conception of the Constitution?

We have pointed out that Joe was absent from class when Marbury vs. Madison was discussed and he's been lost ever since trying to deal with Constitutionality.

Bush and his signing statements. It happens, presidents try to assume power. it's their nature.

Obama has been no better or worse.

Let me say that I doubt you have ever read word one of a Constitutional law text. Neither have I. Point is, I know it.

Ducky: Marbury v Madison, Roe v Wade, Dred Scott, Plessy v Ferguson, Cumming v Richmond, Lum v Rice, Pace v Alabama, Hirabayashi v U.S., United States v. Thind, The Civil Rights Cases of1883 and on and on.

As we all know, the Supreme Court is always right and has never had a ruling overturned by a future court.

Bottom line, Obama is not worthy of the honorable seat in which he seats himself. He is ruthless in his endeavor in taking down our Christian nation, one policy at a time.

However, he did promise that he would change things and that promise he kept, which has been a nightmare for everyone that voted against him and those that did vote for him and regret it now.

That's right Joe, until the decision is overturned it's law.

Sometimes we consider it poorly decided such as Santa Clara County vs. Southern Pacific Railroad but it's law.

Dred Scot was also law, but that didn't make it right. Roe v. Wade is also law, but it still legalizes murder.

Joe - "President BO (the child president) has violated all four aspects of his oath of office."

Not a word of what you said is true, nor can you prove that it is true.

That makes you a liar.

"He has redefined his powers, redefined his rights and redefined his commission."

None of that is true, nor can you you prove it.

Again, you are a liar.

"Finally, he has failed to defend the Constitution...he has allowed it to be changed ex-populus (without the vote of the people through the amendment process)."

Complete and total nonsense! I just read the Constitution.

It is exactly the same as when Obama took office.

It has not changed "ex-populus" or otherwise.

You, are a liar.

"Whatever his roots, whatever his heritage, whoever his life-long associated, whatever his ideology,..."

This is exactly the sort of innuendo seed that you right wing closeted bigots sow.

Not saying that his heritage is in question, just asking.

Not saying his associates are questionable, just asking.

Not saying his idealogy is questionable, just asking.

Such incredibly transparent racism and bigotry.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

He has done so as well as every other President who has sworn that oath. And you cannot site a single instance or circumstance to prove other wise.

You, are a liar.

XO: You don't watch the news much, do you?

If you did, you would know that these are not lies but the sum total of his actions, words and attitudes.

Did he never say that the Constitution is flawed because it says what government Can't do but does not tell us what it CAN do?

Well documented...as are my other conclusions.

You can do your own research.

But you won't.
