I'm trying to imagine Jackie Kennedy doing something like that. Nope, can't do it. I think whomever wins the presidency in November, Callista Gingrich should be the First Lady. She's classy enough to bring a semblance of respectability back to the position after Michelle and Hillary.

Joe said...

To All: MO is all class...all of it low. She is also all dignity, the lack thereof. She garners and diserves no respect for herself or the office of First Lady.

Ducky's here said...

Joe needs to get back in touch with his inner child.

Sarah Polk
Margaret Taylor
Abigail Fillmore
Jane Pierce
Harriet Lane Johnson

Eleanor Roosevelt
Bess Truman
Mamie Eisenhower

Not only do we have a dictator for a president but his wife is one as well.
Now we see the Unelected One playing dietary dictator to the military.

I can very well imagine Betty Ford doing whatever it is that is being done in this video I cannot view after one of her famous weekend benders.

Of course, because nothing says "class" as much as a woman who slept with a married man for 6 years, and who was in the 2nd wife's marital bed while Newt called the 2nd wife and asked for an open marriage so he could continue shagging Callista while still being married.

That all of you here believe such utter and complete hypocritical rubbish--that Callista, an adulterer, would bring "class" to the White House, and that Michelle Obama, who is a devoted faithful wife and mother, does not, shows how deranged you've become since January 20, 2009.

Rather presumptuous of you. They could have been just playing 'Battleship Shots' you know!

Who really cares what those dingle berry picking, kool-aide drinking liberal's think?
First of all Gingrich isn't and most likely wont be the president, therefor his wife won't be the First Lady.
And if we are giving opinions, mine is that Michelle Obama is the worst First Lady that America has ever had. She's not a lady by any stretch of the imagination. Of course I'm going to be called a racist, bigot for saying so but she's also possibly the worst dressed First Lady that America has ever had. No racism intended at all but since when is wearing Red,Black, and Green, the colors of the African American Flag the "in" thing to wear in the world of fashion?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Rosalynn Carter wrote:

No, dear, you're not a racist for writing hateful descriptions of America's First Lady. You're just a partisan hack who needs to slander people in order to feel better about youself.

You know what we say about people like you, don't you?

Callista Gingrich was Newt's adulterous mistress while Newt was married.

You think that's classy? Good luck with that.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Obama is a devoted wife and mother and doesn't have a blemish on her marital fidelity. Something most conservative Christians admire.

But, apparently, not the folks who hang out here.

Shaw Kenawe, the people who hang around here we're just fine until you fell in from the hell hole you came from and said the stupid things you said. Don't try to convince people who know better its you and what you say that makes you so pathetic.
She needs to get a life and stop the drama. And get rid of those ugly cheap clothes.
I think it's ironic that stupid people feel that Michelle's hatred for America has changed.

By the way, is she proud to be an American yet??
Poor Fat Cakes needs to get over her angry black woman image.
Someone should tell her how ugly she looks before she leaves her dressing room. And that her huge butt is to big for the size dresses she wears. What pisses me off is that we are hammered constantly by the media and people like Shaw Kenawe telling us Michelle is wonderful, smart, beautiful, and strong. Sorry, buy I see no evidence of that whatsoever.
She wouldn't know anything about poise or grace if they jumped up and bit her in her fat behind..

Joe,

I haven't been here in a while. Interesting racist creeps you've attracted.

So now your blog is about calling the first African American FLOTUS a gorilla?

Didn't you say you marched with ML King? Wouldn't he be proud of the people you hang with.

I'm not surprised at at all at how low this place has sunk. The sort of attacks on the Obamas that you host here will attract the sort of people who look real snazzy in white sheets.

Joe said...

SK: Welcome back. I look forward to you're normal misinterpretation of what happens here.

I was not here when G.S. wrote her little comment.

I do not condone her reference to Gorilla In the Mist.

Neither do I like your accusing me of "hanging" with them.

And no, I don't think he would be proud of them...I'm not.

Joe said...

SK: Oh, and the white sheets were Democrats.

Ducky's here said...

Joe, you're attracting the hoi polloi.

Joe said...

Ducky: "Joe, you're attracting the hoi polloi."

I presume you refer to XO, Craig and SK...right?

(Hoi polloi is Greek for “the common people,” but it is often misused to mean “the upper class”)

Shaw Kenawe said...

Joe, I'm glad to hear that. I'm so relieved. Seriously.

But, actually, the White Sheets yes, were Democrats, but they were CONSERVATIVE Democrats who left the Democratic Party once LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act. The conservatives didn't like that, so they went over to the GOP.

But thank goodness you do not condone characterizing African American women as gorillas.

We may not agree on politics, but I'm glad you have the decency to reject that sort of sordid racism.

We can agree to disagree on other things on another day.

Whew.

Here we go with the "conservative democrats" myth again. Evangelical Christians were the spear tip of the abolitionist movement. Since when have evangelicals ever been liberal? It isn't a matter of liberal or conservative it's a fact that democrats are incapable of judging good from evil. From slavery to segregation to abortion and soon to euthanasia, democrats -- liberal or conservative -- are always on the wrong side of the fence.

Oh, the the Gorillas in the Mist comment was appropriate, since liberals are Darwinists. Darwin believed that different races were in different stages of evolution. He put blacks (or "savages," as he called them) right above gorillas and predicted they would both soon be extinct.

And one of them named "SUE" had curse words for them all including us republicans and especially conservatives, using the "F" word in every sentence. And she had the she has the gall to blame others, she needs take a closer look at home.

And has this up on his sidebar:

It's not surprising that Joe, a conservative, believes in "do as I say, not as I do." It is their mantra, q.v., Newt Gingrich, Romney, and all the rest of the hypocrites that are hoping to be president.

25 Immutable Truths About Liberals

1. Always expect the worst from a liberal and you will never be surprised.

2. Never try to reason with a liberal. They disregard any evidence that conflicts with their beliefs.

3. You can always tell what liberals are up to by what they accuse conservatives of doing.

4. Liberals don't debate, they argue.

5. The only standards liberals have are double standards.

6. Liberals feel, conservatives think.

7. Whenever you don't understand a liberal's motives, just look for the money.

8. Liberals cannot be embarrassed. They lack the gene to blush.

9. The Liberal creed is, "Do as I say, not as I do."

10. Liberals get older, but they never grow up.

11. There are no honest liberals. If they were honest -- especially to themselves -- they would be conservatives.

12. A liberal's business is nobody's business, but everyone's business is a liberal's business.

13. Liberals have an inflated sense of self-worth. They are like house flies that criticize the air-worthiness of a Stealth fighter. (Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, ad infinitum are morons.)

14. Liberals lack a sixth sense that conservatives have in abundance -- common sense.

15. Liberals never stop hating.

16. There are only two types of liberals -- the deceivers and the deceived. The difficulty is telling them apart.

17. Every time liberals get on their high horse, they get bucked off.

18. Liberal programs are so wonderful that they have to be forced on people.

19. Liberals always choke on their own medicine.

20. When given a moral choice, liberals always come down on the wrong side of the fence.

21. The only way liberals can build themselves up is by tearing others down.

22. Liberals not only refuse to learn from their mistakes, they refuse to admit them.

23. Liberals have only two political positions -- blind devotion and blind hatred.

24. Liberals are incapable of attacking the message, so they always attack the messenger.

25. Liberal diversity is only skin deep.
That was a very good start,I will vote for any Republican who wins the nomination, even if he/she is not my first choice. Obama must go.
Obama has never been proud to be an American president. He holds the distinct title of worst ever. Yes, it's true that he holds the title, but that’s about all. He and his wife area disgrace to the tittle of president and first lady. In fact I wouldn't call her a "lady" at all.
So here's hoping we can show BO, his travelin’ wife and his cute kids out the door in November. I just can’t wait until that day.

Craig said...

Here we go with the "conservative democrats" myth again.

I wouldn't call them "conservative democrats", "Southern Democrats" would be a better description. I can't deny they were racists, neither can you deny that the few Republican Federal office holders at the time were racists. The South voted solidly Democratic. It's solidly Republican now, so what happened?

There was a real intra-party battle between southern 'states rights' (sound familiar) and northern 'civil rights' Dems. It was Truman who desegregated the military by executive order, p.o.ing the southerners. Then Hubert Humphrey gave a speech at the "48" convention that lead to the "Dixiecrat" party. The beginning of the end for the Dem. southern stronghold.

From HHH's speech.

"To those who say, my friends, to those who say, that we are rushing this issue of civil rights, I say to them we are 172 years (too) late! To those who say, this civil rights program is an infringement on states' rights, I say this: the time has arrived in America for the Democratic Party to get out of the shadow of states' rights and walk forthrightly into the bright sunshine of human rights!"

How about the 1964 Civil Rights Act, pushed by LBJ. This is how the vote came down,

The original House version:

* Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%)
* Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%)

* Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%)
* Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%)

The Senate version:

* Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
* Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas)
* Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)
* Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)

Not one southern Repub voted for it. LBJ was wrong when he said the south would be lost for a generation. It's been longer.

Many of those northern Repubs that voted for the CRA would be drummed out of the Party today. RINOS! They were pro union, for progressive taxation, supported livable wages and minimum wage legislation, voted for Medicare in "65", advocated for women and gay rights, weren't virulently anti-immigrant, etc.

I don't think all or most Republicans are racist but racists have a home in the Republican party. Here is just a sampling of some of the ugly stuff coming from Republican operatives since Obama was elected. This years CPAC convention featured 2 prominent White Supremacists, Peter Brimelow and Robert “Bob” Vandervoort. Look them up.

Craig said...

Evangelical Christians were the spear tip of the abolitionist movement.

As were non evangelicals, Jews, Secularists and Atheists. Evangelical Christians were also the spear tip of the KKK, thousands of white Protestant Evangelical preachers were members and promoted the KKK from their pulpits. If you actually studied history and not snippets of revisionism from Ann Coulter, you'd know the Klan preached that white Protestantism was superior, that they were the real patriots and true bible believing Christians, the Champions of Christianity as a Christian political organization.

Since when have evangelicals ever been liberal?

People like Tony Campolo, Jim Wallis, Jimmy Carter, even Joe's hero MLK call themselves Evangelicals. I'm sure you'd tell me they are the wrong kind of Christians.

Darwin believed that different races were in different stages of evolution. He put blacks (or "savages," as he called them) right above gorillas and predicted they would both soon be extinct.

Darwin was staunchly anti slavery and if you read his journals from his Beagle voyages or "The Descent of Man" you'd know his studies led him to the conclusion that people cannot be classified as different species
and all races are related and have a common ancestry.

He was a product of his time and did use the standard lexicon of that time, ie, 'savages'. As for "Darwin believed that different races were in different stages of evolution", he differentiated between cultural and genetic evolution. He did say 'savages' were closer to gorillas than to white Europeans in terms of being 'civilized' but all humans had the same mental capacity and all humans had a 'barbaric' ancestry.

"they would both soon be extinct" meant that at some point humanity would eventually be 'civilized', not that they would be exterminated.

As man advances in civilisation, and small tribes are united into larger communities, the simplest reason would tell each individual that he ought to extend his social instincts and sympathies to all the members of the same nation, though personally unknown to him. This point being once reached, there is only an artificial barrier to prevent his sympathies extending to the men of all nations and races.

Even if Darwin had been an ax murderer, it wouldn't change the fact that random mutation and natural selection is probably the most extensively supported scientific theory there is and is the basis for modern biology.

Darwin didn't get everything exactly correct. You, Ranger, are living proof that not all of humanity has the capacity to learn.

As for Obama's latest social engineering campaign against Catholics and pro-lifers. I truly hope that this puts the nail in his coffin. He must think that he is the leader of the Third Reich.
The Catholics are not going to take this anymore and neither will the new Cardinal from New York who is furious and will fight back.
He has done just about all he can do in his attempt to destroy this country, and it looks as if he doesn't intend to stop .
I hope that the Catholics will vote against him when the time comes. Maybe this will tear down his narcissistic arrogance a notch or two.Someone ought to tell him that he is not the King, or the Pope.
Further reason why Obama must absolutely go. That said, we need to pay closer attention to all the Congressional races this year, as well as voting Obama out.
This is something even more important than contraception and abortion. It is a president abolishing and trampling the first amendment.

Joe said...

Craig: "...random mutation and natural selection is probably the most extensively supported scientific theory there is..."

There is not one single piece of scientific evidence to support that idea.

It is nothing more than an idea.

From the time they were discovered, not a single microbe, or any other life-form, has mutated into another species.

Bacteria, for instance, have mutated, but they have never become something other than bacteria, after trillions to the trillionth power of mutations.

Evolution is a belief system, nothing more. It is more akin to faith than to science, and is on a par with flat-earthism.

Craig said...

From the time they were discovered, not a single microbe, or any other life-form, has mutated into another species.

Wrong.

Evolution is a belief system, nothing more.

Then you must have another mechanism to explain the fossil record, including predictions based on natural selection that have proven to be correct. Explain at least 18 distinct species in the Hominid record alone. How do you account for Endogenous Retroviruses that appear in the exact same place on the genome across hominid species. We share the exact same anomalies with, sit down for this, CHIMPS!

It is more akin to faith than to science, and is on a par with flat-earthism.

So, every scientific organization, society, academy and association, 99% of scientists in the physical sciences are flat earthers? If that's not enough to at least get you to look at the evidence, nothing will. How can anyone take you seriously?

Joe said...

Craig: "How can anyone take you seriously?"

Yeah. I'd be carefull about that.

Joe said...

Craig: I just read "Bacteria make major evolutionary shift in the lab .

Opps! No new "evolutionary" progression...still bacteria.

Joe said...

Craig: When one turns into or toward a new life-form, let me know.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Joe: "From the time they were discovered, not a single microbe, or any other life-form, has mutated into another species."

Holy Crap! That's not what Evolution is about. You apparently know nothing about it, if that's what you think Evolution is about, and yet you proclaim it's not science?

And you call Obama arrogant?

Joe: "Bacteria, for instance, have mutated, but they have never become something other than bacteria, after trillions to the trillionth power of mutations."

Yeah. Really. Because no one ever said a tree could become a cow, but through changes over time and with influences from the environment, over time a finch's beak can and DID change in size and shape, bacteria can mutate and become resistant to antibiotics, and insects can become immune to pesticides--those are all concrete examples of changes over time caused by environmental factors. Evolution. And there are hundreds and hundreds more. How do you explain the difference, for example, in human skin coloring? You think dark-skinned people just popped up in the tropics and white-skinned people just popped up in the arctic circle? All early humans had dark skin, so why are you white?

Craig, don't waste your time. Arguing with anti-Evolutionists is like talking to your dining room table. Actually the table would be more intelligent, since it would not be able to utter this unimaginable idiocy:

"Evolution is a belief system, nothing more. It is more akin to faith than to science, and is on a par with flat-earthism."

"I wouldn't call them "conservative democrats", "Southern Democrats" would be a better description."

Really???

FDR refused to remove the Jim Crow laws that Woodrow Wilson introduced in Washington and refused to desegregate the government and military. Was FDR a southern democrat?

JFK voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act. Was JFK a southern democrat?

Bobby Kennedy authorized wire taps and surveillance of Martin Luther King Jr. Was Bobby a southern democrat?

Let's look at a letter Harry Truman wrote to his future wife, Bess:

"I think one man is just as good as another so long as he's not a ni**er or a Chinaman. Uncle Will says that the Lord made a White man from dust, a ni**er from mud, then He threw up what was left and it came down a Chinaman. He does hate Chinese and Japs. So do I. It is race prejudice, I guess. But I am strongly of the opinion Negroes ought to be in Africa, Yellow men in Asia and White men in Europe and America."

Was Truman a southern democrat?

Another quote:

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Robert C. Byrd, [a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter] that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation."
--Sen. Christopher Dodd

Is Dodd a southern democrat?

After exclusively giving the democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today.

It's just amazing how stupid democrats are about their own history and agenda. A stupid person is not someone who can't learn, but someone who refuses to learn.

So Jo-Joe says that MICHELLE OBAMA is more of a Child than a First Lady and all these liberal kooks come out of the woodwork.
One of them even make a unwarranted nasty and sarcastic remark about Jo-Joe "sitting at home reading his Bible" Something that the President and the Worst Lady child ought to be doing more of.
Sure being the President and the First lady is like living in a
bubble. But these two want some “normalcy” Who are they kidding?

Don't tell me that they didn't know what they were getting into before they entered politics?
And don't tell me that they don't LOVE the publicity the get day after day! Don't tell me that 90 percent of what they do is for photo-ops! Especially the First Lady Child!
Why the heck do they travel so much? Why the heck do they campaign so much?
Michelle said she dislikes politics, but over the course of her three years as first lady she has basked in the political stage herself. The Obama's just recently spent 4 million of mime and your money to go on vacation in Hawaii. No bad is it? Funny they never blame George W Bush when they do that do they? Marxists hate anything that is truly honorable or patriotic, like the military, and we see it in the Obama's every day.
If being the First Lady is too much for her then, maybe she should tell her Child President to move on, and go back to his Community organizer job, Malik Zulu Shabazz. I say Good riddance to bad rubbish. So let's hope that the President and his First Lady, leave the White House in November, and take the leftist America haters, leeches and flea bags out there who are trying to bring America down with them.

Evolutionists believe that all life originated from a single cell that somehow formed in some primordal muck (although they don't explain how it became muck) and some 500,000,000 atoms accidentaly came together to form all of configurations of the four molecules needed to make a DNA molecule (arranged just right to become life) which began the life chain. It then went through mutations, splits etc. to yield the flora and fauna we experience today.

Strom Thurmond? Thurmond switched to the Republican party one year before the passage of the 1965 Civil Rights Act. He found federal money to provide services for his black constituents and became the first Southern senator to hire black staff members — in 1971 — and appoint blacks to high positions. Democrats hate him because he reformed and switched parties, not because he was once a segregationist -- when he was a DEMOCRAT! Lester Maddox? He switched to the American Independent Party, not the Republican Party. He was a staunch segregationist and maintained, to his death, that he never had any regrets.

Most democrat segregationists died, retired or were defeated, for example:

Senator Richard Russell, Democrat of Georgia, co-authored the 1956 Southern Manifesto strongly defended white supremacy and voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. He died in 1971; civil rights supporting Democrat Sam Nunn was elected in 1972. In 1996 Nunn retired and civil rights supporting Democrat Max Cleland was elected who was defeated in 2002 by civil rights supporting Republican Saxby Chambliss.

Senator Albert Gore Sr., Democrat of Tennessee, voted against 1964 Civil Rights Act was defeated in 1970 by civil rights supporting Republican William E. Brock III.

Senator Sam Ervin, Democrat of North Carolina, signed the 1956 Southern Manifesto and voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act was succeeded by moderate Democrat Robert Morgan who was then defeated in 1980 by civil rights supporting Republican John Porter East.

Senator James O. Eastland, Democrat of Mississippi was a staunch segregationist and avowed racist who signed the 1956 Southern Manifesto and voted against 1964 Civil Rights Act. Did national Democrats ostracize Eastland? Heck no; he served in the Senate until 1978 under President Jimmy Carter in the prestigious positions of Judiciary Committee Chairman and the Senate office In line to assume the Presidency, President Pro Tempore. However, in 1978, Eastland retired and the voters elected civil rights supporting Republican Thad Cochran.

Senator J. William Fulbright, Democrat of Arkansas (mentor of President Bill Clinton), signed the 1956 Southern Manifesto and voted against 1964 Civil Rights Act as well as voting against the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Did he become a Republican? No, he was defeated in the Democratic primary by civil rights supporting then-Governor Democrat Dale Bumpers. Civil rights supporting Democrat Senator Blanche Lincoln stills holds this seat for the Democratic Party.

What about Republican Senator Jesse Helms of North Carolina, wasn’t he a segregationist? No, consistent with the 1964 Civil Rights Act, he and most Republicans are against race based affirmative action. Helms was elected in 1972 replacing segregationist Democrat B. Everett Jordan appointed to the Senate in 1958 who voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

The 1964 Civil Rights Act outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin: in voting, employment, and public services, such as transportation.

The 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed in the United States Senate:

Democratic Party: 46-22 (68%-32%)

Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%)

The 1964 Civil Rights Act passed in the House of Representatives:

Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%-37%)

Republican Party: 136-35 (80%-20%)

Time to lay a few of my Talking Points on you.

7. The race card is the first refuge of people who have nothing to say.

8. Ignorance is the cornerstone of arrogance.

Don't try to debate history with an adult.

FDR refused to remove the Jim Crow laws that Woodrow Wilson introduced in Washington and refused to desegregate the government and military.

Woodrow was a southern Dem. Before him, Repub. Teddy Roosevelt believed blacks were intellectually inferior, and began to decrease the number of federal appointments to blacks. Repub. Pres. Taft, publicly endorsed the idea that blacks should not participate in politics, and perpetuated the racist party line of TR.

After Wilson, Harding, Coolidge and Hoover, all Repubs., did nothing about Jim Crow either. Harding's Justice department did nothing to investigate lynchings or the activities of the KKK. Hoover excluded blacks from federal offices and executive departments, and his administration wouldn't allow blacks to work on federal construction jobs.

FDR was mostly indifferent about civil rights and politically he needed southern Dems to pass the New Deal. It was Eleanor who put the pressure on him and in 1941 he gave an executive order which established the Fair Employment Practices Committee and mandated race-blind hiring by defense organizations.

Using your reasoning, the examples of TR, Taft, Harding, Coolidge and Hoover, all Republicans are racists. Right?

Was Truman a southern democrat?

He was from Missouri, a slave state. Truman was probably a flaming racist when he wrote that. He was in his early 20's, grew up in a racist environment during a very racist time in America. What did he do when he actually had the power to act on his racism? He desegregated the military he formed a civil rights commission and he assigned it to draft this report, To Secure These Rights

JFK voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act.

Yes he did. It was Strom Thurmond who filibustered it for 24 hrs., 18 min., longest filibuster by a lone Sen. As pres. he did more than any president before him to have more African Americans appointed to federal government posts. He appointed 40 to senior federal positions including five as federal judges. He created the Commission on Equal Employment Opportunity and it was his Civil Rights Act that passed in 1964.

Bobby Kennedy authorized wire taps and surveillance of Martin Luther King Jr.

Yes, when J. Edgar brought him evidence that a close associate of Kings, Stanley Levison, had ties to the Communist Party USA. The source were CPUSA members Jack and Morris Childs. It wasn't until the 80's when heavily redacted were un redacted that it was revealed that the Childs brother had told Hoover that Levison had broken all ties with CPUSA in 1957. Hoover kept that information from everyone, including RFK and JFK. It was the height of the cold war and tensions over Cuba were high. Imagine if RFK hadn't authorized the wire taps and Levison was a pinko. RFK wasn't a racist, it was a case of CYA and a blot on his escutcheon.

After exclusively giving the democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today.

The converse is true, also. I can't think of ant initiated by the modern Republican Party, either. Can you?

It's just amazing how stupid democrats are about their own history and agenda.

I'm well aware of the Dems history. I bet voting blacks are too. Are you calling 90% of blacks who vote stupid?

Look, SDHV, it wasn't me, it was one of Joe's commenters who calls itself GLORIA STEWART who wrote that Mrs. Obama was going to star in a new movie called "Gorilla in the Mist." And it is Joe who left that blatant racist slur stand.

I didn't bring race into my comments, I just showed my revulstion to it.

Joe apparently approves of it, since he didn't delete it, and no one else here has said a word about connecting Mrs. Obama to a gorilla, something that is the hallmark of the Jim Crow era and what many African Americans have had to endure throughout our racist history.

That you and the blog host see no problem with that remark is more evidence of the racism that still runs deep in the GOP.

Ranger, Just reread my last post. Full of typos, I was in a hurry. I didn't even get to Nixon and Reagan's southern strategy. I don't know if they were racists (Nixon didn't like those Jeeewws) but they didn't mind using the politics of race. I've always liked this Lee Atwater quote;

You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger." By 1968 you can't say "nigger" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger."

Again, I don't think all Republicans are racists and bigots. Dems were the party of southern, white supremacists. R. Byrd was in the Klan. You give Thurmond a pass, Democrats hate him because he reformed but Byrd is always brought up despite the fact that he publicly repudiated the Klan in 1957.

Republicans have lots of dirty white sheets in their closet, too. I don't draw the conclusion that the Republican Party is racist. I will say it ain't Dems carrying posters of a black pres. with a bone through his nose or sending photoshopped pics of the White House with a watermelon patch on the front lawn or saying he wants to enslave white people or comparing the first lady to a gorilla. I linked to a whole slew more in a previous comment. Check it out.

Do you say that to your commenters? Did you also say that you your fellow blogger Sue, when she called ALL republicans by the "F" word??
I wonder why not?

Because, SDHV, what you seem not to understand is that what Sue writes is NOT RACISM. Okay?

Comparing the First Lady of the United States of America to a gorilla, a classic racist stereotype, is not the same as using the "F" word in connection with Republicans. That you can't get that distinction speaks volumes about your lack of intelligence.

I'm done with you and all your racist friends.

It ain't dems? Again, REALLY?

Since you mentioned watermelons:
Referring to Barack Obama: "“Listen he’s a nice person, he’s very articulate,” this is what’s been used against him, “but he couldn’t sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic.” -- Dan Rather

So, you don't think depicting Condi Rice as a slave or a thick-lipped parrot is racist? http://michellemalkin.com/2008/07/16/clueless-washington-journalist-of-the-day-john-harwood/

You are fine with depicting Clarence Thomas as a lawn jockey and calling him an Uncle Tom?

Oh, and liberals have NEVER called Condi Rice a "house nigga" or George Bush's "brown chocolate," have they? http://www.condoleezzaforpresident.com/last-appill.html

Lone Ranger, when you slander someone [Dan Rather] you ought to at least get your slurs right. Dan Rather was describing what he thought a rightwinger would say about Mr. Obama during the 2012 elections:

In an argument about the 2012 election, Rather was describing what he thinks “Republicans” will say – and what “a lot of independents will buy.” So he’s speaking as Obama’s critics:

The Republicans will make a case and a lot of independents will buy this argument. “Listen he just hasn’t been, look at the health care bill. It was his number one priority. It took him forever to get it through and he had to compromise it to death.” And a version of, “Listen he’s a nice person, he’s very articulate,” this is what’s been used against him, “but he couldn’t sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic.”

When you slander Dan Rather? Are you for real?
Dan Rather is a POS that is beyond slandering. That slime-ball has ZERO creditability, there isn't anyway in hell that you can slander a LIAR.

Slander, is defined as a false statement, the only one who made a false statement was Dan Rather.
