Just watch all the scum come out from under the rocks on this one!
SG: Thanks for the visit. Here come the scum!
Hmmm. Interesting. Personally, I love the Iron Dome. I think it's awesome.
But I do wonder what people's reaction would be if Hamas managed to get their hands on an Iron Dome system and used it to protect themselves against attacks from Israel.
It would be interesting to listen to conservatives react to that development.
More on Iron Dome
Less than meets the eye (unless you're Raytheon).
Ducky: The "article" in the link you provided gave no information; being satisfied with ambiguous innuendo.
Look no further than who is speaking
"But I do wonder what people's reaction would be if Hamas managed to get their hands on an Iron Dome system and used it to protect themselves against attacks from Israel."
XO that is nothing compared to what liberals would be saying if it were Christians beheading muslim children in Iraq
Lisa - "XO that is nothing compared to what liberals would be saying if it were Christians beheading muslim children in Iraq"
We would probably be quoting Reagan and saying "Well, there they go again!"
Christians did just exactly that, and worse, during the Crusades. Study some history.
JC: "Christians did just exactly that, and worse, during the Crusades."
Actually, it's your history that is wrong. If I call myself a unicorn, that does not make me a unicorn. Those were not Christians, they were people, some of whom were masquerading as Christians.
Besides, does what someone else did justify what someone is now doing? Is that the way you think?
Turns out that children, as well as adults, are being beheaded for no other reason than they are professing Christians. You support that, I take it?
Joe, the problem is we cannot go back and remake Iraq.
We may not have liked Saddam, but he was a strong leader who brutally controlled Iraq and kept the religious state people at bay with a more secular government.
During his reign, Christians were a protected minority, for political reasons, if nothing else.
I find it disingenuous to lay the blame, as many conservatives are doing, directly at the feet of Pres. Obama. Using Colin Powell's analogy, we, as a country, broke Iraq when we decided to go in without a firm understanding of the culture, or an effective plan for the end of major combat operations and the overthrow of Saddam.
I think it is incumbent on the critics of our current policy to suggest an alternative that will garner the support of the American people. After all, it is mostly those very critics who were some of the biggest supporters of the initial invasion, this spark that lit the entire region on fire.
DM: Saddam was a terrible, indescribable tyrant of the first order. He needed to be ousted.
Having said that, as has been the case since just after WWII (Desert Storm excepted) we have not entered a single conflict with any intention of or plan for winning.
War is awful. People who have nothing to do with the conflict get maimed or killed. That is the nature of war. If we knew some way to win a war without that happening and did not use it, we would be no better than those who started the war. But there is no way.
The trouble in Iraq was that we thought we could undo thousands of years of uncivilized brutality with a few thousand American deaths. The same is true of Afghanistan.
Those people have killed and hated each other for all of recorded history, and nothing we can do can stop that.
What we should do is just leave them alone and let them continue their self destructive behavior.
Only their behavior is no longer just self destructive, it has swelled to world-wide destruction. They sincerely believe their way is right and that the entire world must conform to it.
That said, if we just sit back and watch, we will be infiltrated, our cities will be terrorized (you and I included) and we will not know how to stop it.
Yesterday has come and gone. Tomorrow hasn't yet arrived. The only thing we have is now, and if we are going to do something, it will have to be now, or it won't get done.
For that reason, I would call for a total economic blockade against every Middle Eastern country that will not ally itself with US. Since that is not going to happen, I predict that sooner than later we will be replaced by those of the Middle Eastern, Islamic mind set. There will be no more United States of America, and then no civilized nation of any kind left on the face of the earth.
It's been a good ride, though.
Joe - "Those were not Christians, they were people, some of whom were masquerading as Christians."
Oh,that's rich!
Christians disavow the acts of other Christians by saying "Oh, they weren't 'Real Christians', they just called themselves Christians!"
But when criminals commit horrific acts under the name of Islam, you are quick to point out "Those are the TRUE Muslims! Any so-called Muslim who disavows beheading Christian children or destroying America isn't a 'REAL' Muslim!"
Such incredibly transparent and blatant hypocrisy!
Pathetic.
JC: "Such incredibly transparent and blatant hypocrisy!"
Not one iota more than yours.
