PREVENTING THE LOOMING FALL

Press Secretary, Jay Carney, said, "So the President made clear that he is not wedded to every detail of his plan," said Carney. "The President has also made categorically and abundantly clear that he will not sign an extension of the Bush-era tax cuts for top earners. It’s bad economic policy and we cannot afford it. He will not sign that."

President BO (the amateur president) keeps saying he is willing to work with "the other side" and is willing to negotiate with them on their ideas.

The only thing he won't negotiate is the very thing that is at the heart of the "fiscal cliff:" an increase on taxes for the "rich."

In other words, we can work on all of the irrelevant things, but when it comes to what he is really after, it's a no-go.

There is a remedy for the "fiscal cliff," if anybody really wanted to solve it. They won't, though, because solving the economic issues facing our country is not at all important to politicians...none of them.

The solution to the country's economic woes is as simple as it is complex.

If that seems contradictory, that's because the solution is mathematically easy, but politically difficult.

The reason it's politically difficult is that politicians really, really care about the country on an emotional level, but are much more concerned about their personal influence, power and getting re-elected...all of them.

The solution is a flat tax on every earned dollar, be it corporate, individual, interest or whatever, over the "poverty" level.

Do not confuse the flat tax with the so-called "fair tax," which is not fair at all, but is a glorified sales tax which would place a larger burden on poor people than it does on rich people wanting the same goods or services. It would also be as big an accounting nightmare as the present despicable system.

With a flat tax, everybody pays the same fair percentage of their earnings. There would be no more of this "they don't pay their fair share" idiocy.

For the sake of discussion (and keeping the math simple), let's say the poverty level is $20,000.00 per year.

Every earned dollar over that amount would be taxed at say 10% (an arbitrary figure for the sake of this discussion - see the above paragraph). Dollars earned would be the total of individual earnings, the profits made by a company or corporation, interest earned on savings and investments and the like.

There would be no deductions, no exclusions, no "loopholes" and no exceptions.

The filing of tax returns would be made on a simple 4" X 8" card with just a few lines:

FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN
1) What was your total individual income. Include personal income from wages, interest earned, tips and all other sources excluding direct gifts.  If this is a corporate return list the total income of the corporation. ___________

2) If this is a corporate return, list the gross profit of the corporation. ____________

3) Subtract $20,000.00 from your total individual earnings or the corporation's profit. -____________

4) Multiply the remainder by .10. ________________

5) The quotient of #4 is the federal income tax you owe. Make checks payable to the U.S. Treasury.

With a system this simple, fraud and cheating would be minimized, as employers would be required to report the gross income of employees and corporations would be required to provide proof of their corporate earnings.

The major reason something this simple is so difficult to grasp and implement is that politicians actually prefer fraud and corruption over honesty, integrity and character. They enjoy the game of trying to "put one over" on the other guy (or gal).

There are a couple of other things that would be needed to avoid "fiscal cliffs." One of those would be a "one bill, one subject" amendment to the Constitution, which would eliminate unrelated amendments to a bill that favor a particular political district.

The "fiscal cliff" would also be avoided by opening free and easy competition on the world market, coupled with a reasonable tax on goods produced overseas for import to this country.

Another would be an amendment that removes all regulations on individuals and corporations that do not directly involve preventing physical, emotional or fiscal harm to another person or a person's property.

Still another part of the remedy to the "fiscal cliff" is to get the federal government out of involvement with things that do not directly include uniting the country, establishing true justice, keeping domestic peace, providing a strong defense for the nation, promoting (not providing) the well being of the people, and ensuring that liberty is not violated.

The final death of the "fiscal cliff" would be to remove all duplicate federal laws and simply enforce the ones necessarily left in place after implementing the removal of regulations as mentioned above.

I wonder whether President BO would be willing to compromise his Socialistic and class warfare agenda in order to achieve the actual demise of the "fiscal cliff."

I doubt it.

DID YOU MAKE IT?

(Thanks and a hat tip to American Perspective, who hat-tipped Nobody Asked Me.)

I lived through all of that.

I rode my bike with my friends all over the neighborhood, including up and down the sides of a basement that had been dug for a house before its owner died. The sides were steep and the bike went really fast. I wore no helmet. My parents knew what I was doing and when I would be home (or else), but they did not supervise me all day every day.

I played baseball with friends on a vacant lot about three blocks from home. We had no helmets, we won or lost, used cardboard box parts for bases, and occasionally argued over whether we were "safe" or "out."

I jumped out of swing sets after "pumping" as high as I could go.

I broke a finger climbing through a window into the house. I landed on a couch with all of my fingers flat except my pinkie, which, by the time it was over, was flat back against the side of my palm. I lived through it with no residual side effects.

I raced my friends up and down the street, because we didn't have a track to run on. The winner was the winner and the rest of us were losers. I almost always came in last, but I didn't care. We were having fun.

I walked or rode my bike to school because there were no buses. I didn't ride a school bus until 9th grade, and then it was to attend Paris American High School, about 40 miles from home.

I played backyard football, sometimes tackle, with no uniforms.

I played basketball, at which I was dismal. But it was fun, even when my team lost (often because of me). The kids sometimes made fun of my basketball skills, and guess what? I didn't slug them; I laughed.

I climbed trees and jumped from the roofs of houses into a pile of leaves.

I never was, nor did I know, anybody seriously injured by our play. I'm not saying it never happened, I'm just saying I never knew anybody who was seriously injured.

We rode in cars without seat belts, and although there were some who were hurt or killed in accidents, we never hurt anybody by not having seat belts.

I learned to backpack and eventually taught others.

We hiked places that would be "off-limits" today.

I was big, but never fat and had strong muscles.

As my "unintense" work demanded more and more of my time, I became more and more sedentary, much to my detriment.

But I made it through those years with minimal supervision and almost no organized sports (until high school).

Then came the government and all kinds of regulation and the lawyers with all kinds of litigation.

And the country got fat.

Can you see any correlation there?

HAMAS THE INNOCENT

Appearing on MSNBC’s NOW with Alex Wagner, NBC News reporter Ayman Mohyeldin took a strong position, on the United States’ role in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He blamed the unresolved crisis on the United States’ refusal to recognize Hamas and for not doing enough to rein in Israel’s military actions.

Ayman Mohyeldin is an Arab-American journalist based in Los Angeles for NBC. Previously he worked for Al Jazeera and CNN. See his bio HERE.

Of course we've been told over and over again that this whole conflict is really Israel's fault and if they'd just lie down and roll over in defeat, all fighting in the region would cease.

I watched a talking head program on which a pro-Palestinian American "expert" explained how Palestine in general and Hamas in particular were victims in all of this, and only wanted Israel to stop "attacking" them.

Meanwhile, Hamas executed some alleged Jewish "spies" and then behaved in a totally civilized manner, dragging one of their corpses through the streets, as illustrated in the photos below.

Of course we all remember the pictures of Christians and other Americans hanging members of Hamas in the public square, torturing members of Hamas on CNN and MSNBC and photos of our citizens dragging members of Hamas through the streets.

And there is no objective evidence that Hamas is anything other than peace loving old grandmas who just want to represent their fellow countrymen.

Oh, wait...yes there is.

Everything about them is barbaric.

So is everything about those who stand with them.

DIFFERENCES PERSONIFIED (UH...CRUSTACEANIZED)

One of my favorite shows from the past was the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.

It was hysterically funny and dealt with topics that were borderline taboo.

They dealt with those subjects through the use of misdirection, illustrating social ills and ignorance with commentary disguised as folk-songs.

They were actually quite on the edge of acceptability in their time and eventually, CBS cancelled the show.

Here's a song they did called "Crabs Walk Sideways and Lobsters Walk Straight." It was a song about race relations. CBS's censors almost refused to let then sing this song, but it did finally make the show.

See whether you can find the "hidden" race relations message.

A SUPRA-TYPICAL OBAMA SUPPORTER

I know there are some people who voted for President BO(the amateur president)who think they are smart, but the majority of them are not as smart as the defendant in this "case".

Do you hear his speech patterns? Is this what you spend tax dollars on college students to produce? You liberal/leftists think you are so "caring," but your outcomes are universally pathetic.

OK...that's better, but let's try one more>

He is SOOOOO presidential, isn't he?

WHERE TODAY’S MORAL DEPRAVITY IS HEADED

Please note that this post is NOT about Ann Coulter. It is about the direction our amoral education system is headed and what is considered "acceptable" by an increasing number of people in our so-called "civilized society."

After effectively barring conservative columnist Ann Coulter from speaking on campus last week, the Jesuit college Fordham University welcomed infanticide and bestiality advocate Peter Singer for a panel discussion on Friday.

According to Fordham’s media relations website, Singer, a tenured Princeton bioethics professor, spoke from 4 to 6 p.m. in a panel the university promised “will provoke Christians to think about other animals in new ways.”

Singer has long lamented the societal stigma against having sex with animals.

“Not so long ago,” Singer wrote in one essay, “any form of sexuality not leading to the conception of children was seen as, at best, wanton lust, or worse, a perversion. One by one, the taboos have fallen. But … not every taboo has crumbled.”

In the essay, titled “Heavy Petting,” Singer concluded that “sex across the species barrier,” while not normal, “ceases to be an offence [sic] to our status and dignity as human beings.”

“Occasionally mutually satisfying activities may develop” when humans have sex with their pets, he claimed.

In addition to supporting bestiality and immediately granting equal legal rights to animals, Singer has also advocated euthanizing the mentally ill and aborting disabled infants on utilitarian grounds.

In his 1993 essay “Taking Life,” Singer, in a section called “Justifying Infanticide and Non-Voluntary Euthanasia,” wrote that “killing a disabled infant is not morally equivalent to killing a person.”

“Very often it is not wrong at all,” he added, noting that newborns should not be considered people until approximately a month after their birth.

Both Singer and his supporters maintain that ethics experts must often confront taboo topics to arrive at greater philosophical truths.

The Catholic Cardinal Newman Society’s blog spoke out against Fordham’s decision to allow Singer a speaking event in a recent blog post. “Be assured, this is not a Peter Singer scandal. This is a Fordham scandal. The moderator of the event is Charles Camosy, a Fordham theologian,” the society wrote.

However, James Schall, a Jesuit and a senior government professor at Georgetown University, defended Singer’s appearance at Fordham in an email to The Daily Caller.

“Basically, the Church is not afraid of any idea, if it has a fair chance freely to explain its own position,” Schall said. “Normally, a university is the place, but this [issue] demands more liberty to hear the Catholic view than most places permit.”

Schall also condemned Singer’s views in no uncertain terms.

“His position is lethal really, and incoherent, but too much of the culture accepts it,” Schall added.

TWINKLE, TWINKLE LITTLE TWINKIE

I might have eaten eight packages of Twinkies, and a few of those cupcake thingies in my lifetime.

An interesting food product, Twinkies. They contain no milk and thus have a shelf life of about 27 days (not the years often credited to them).

I also read that if you freeze Twinkies and then microwave them for 45 seconds they will explode!

Twinkies and their brothers and sisters from Hostess could never be considered anything more than an artificial bakery item from Hostess meant for snacking.

Then there was the Wonder Bread division of the company.

Wonder Bread had the distinction of being both tasteless and able to be rolled up in a tiny ball, placed on a hair hook and used to catch mullet.

Hostess Brands and its beloved bread and snack cake products dates back to the late 1800s. They are one of the largest wholesale bakers and distributors of fresh-baked bread and sweet goods in the U.S.

A strike by The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union, protesting a new contract imposed on them has brought them to their fiscal knees. The union represents about 5,000 Hostess employees
Hostess' nearly 18,500 workers will lose their jobs as the company shuts 33 bakeries and 565 distribution centers nationwide, as well as 570 outlet stores.

"We deeply regret the necessity of today's decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike," said CEO Gregory Rayburn in a statement.

Let's understand that the purpose of going into business is to make money. Nobody goes into business, with its costs, risks and headaches, for the purpose of losing money. Nobody.

If a business cannot make money (read: profit), it cannot stay in business, and that's just the way it is.

The time came for Hostess to offer its employees a new contract. The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union did not like the terms of the new contract, so they went on strike.

While on strike, they used intimidation to attempt to influence the rest of Hostess' employees to stop work as well.

Employees were told by the company that the contract offered was the best that could be done in this day of economic turmoil consistent with maintaining a decent bottom line (profit).

The union refused to give in, and thus some 5,000 people were responsible for the unemployment of some 13,500 other people.

That's certainly fair, isn't it?

Actually, while many union thugs and liberal/leftists might think so, it isn't.

It is sad that the union led motto of, "I want what I want, when I want it, where I want it, how I want it no matter what and if you don't give it to me I'll close you down" has resulted in the bankruptcy of this venerable company.

This is one more example of how much evil power unions hold and how they are absolutely not ashamed to use that power, even if it means the loss of jobs for thousands of innocent people.

The problem with this country is not the government (although they are no help at all). The problem is that, led BY the government, we have lost the heart and soul of the nation.

Until we can change the hearts and minds of individuals, this country will never be what it was designed to be and will continue its slide into the economic abyss.

(And did you notice that President BO (the amateur president) did not rush to send millions of tax dollars to Hostess because they were "too big to fail?")

After all, it's only 18,500 people.

THE MOST PROLIFIC...

President BO (the amateur president) made a strong defense for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, at a press conference on November 14th.

He described her as "a U.N. ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi."

Yet HE was the one who required her to testify before Congress on Benghazi.

Why do you ask someone with no expertise on a subject to testify about the subject?

"She made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her," Obama said.

Did you get that?

“…at the request of the White House…”

Why her, if she had nothing to do with it? Why not Hillary Clinton? Why not General  Petreaus (well, we might know the answer to that one now).

In the press conference the President said, “(If people) want to go after somebody, they should go after me.”

Well, people have been asking him about it and he has refused to comment because “…it was an ongoing investigation.”

Cop-ever-lovin’-blue-eyed-out!

In her interviews on the morning talk shows, Rice repeatedly stated that the events at Benghazi were caused in reaction to that now famous “anti-Islamic” video, which we now know not to have been true.

But give her the benefit of the doubt.

She was probably TOLD by PBO(tap) to say that because that is what HE had been saying all along.

Gotta keep your stories straight.

Now we know that Obama knew what really went on at Benghazi within moments and even had prior knowledge that something serious was afoot.

President BO (the amateur president) is reportedly considering whether to nominate Rice as Secretary of Defense.

That’s OK…it’s his right to do so.

It is also the right of Congress to question and/or block that nomination.

The President also said at the press conference, when asked whether he issued any orders to protect the lives of the Americans who died there, he responded, “…if people don’t think we did everything we can to make sure that…uh…we save the lives of folks who I sent there and who were carrying out missions on behalf of the United States, then you don’t know how our Defense Department, thinks or our State Department thinks or our CIA thinks. Their number one priority is obviously to protect American lives. That’s what our job is.”

Well, good job Mr. President! Good job!”

Most of us have a different concept of what "protecting American lives" is from allowing them to be murdered.

He said that he “…told the national security team immediately do what you need to do to make sure that they are safe.”

Immediately? I thought he didn’t know immediately!

I have to hand President BO (the amateur president) this: He is the most prolific liar I have ever seen in public office.

FISCAL SANITY OR FISCAL CLIFF?

It’s going to happen unless steps are taken and taken soon. Taxes at almost all levels will increase, according to the laws already enacted.

On January 1, 2013, the top two income tax rates will increase almost 20%. There will be a rise of about 60% on the capital gains tax. The Medicare payroll tax will skyrocket 62%. Dividends will suffer a tax that will just about triple. The so-called “death tax” will enjoy a 57% increase.

We already have one of the highest corporate income tax rates in the world, second only to Cameroon, a socialist state that is a socialist government.

According to Investor’s Business Daily’s November 9th report, the top 3% of small businesses earn about 91% of all small business income. They also employ a healthy portion (about 54%) of the total U.S. workforce in the private business sector.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, these additional taxes, along with their accompanying regulatory costs and restrictions will likely tip the country back into a recession.

We will see extreme energy cost increases, the “printing” of new money and monetary policies that will drive up inflation and will contribute to the coming recession.

Because of all of this, unemployment will rise back into the 10-15% range, the budget deficit will increase by over $2 trillion, and the national debt will be on its way to $20 trillion dollars.

These are all things liberal/leftists and Democrats see as good things.

According to the latest CBO figures, the top 1% of income earners paid 39% of all federal income taxes. In 1981, the top 1% paid only 17.6% of federal income taxes.

In 2009, the top 20% of those earning more that $74,000 per year (the top 20%), paid 94% of federal individual income taxes. At the same time, middle income earners paid only 2.7% of individual federal taxes and the bottom 40% were actually paid BY the IRS an amount equal to 10% of net federal individual income taxes.

President BO (the amateur president)’s assertion that the rich don’t pay their fair share is born either of ignorance or of deliberate deceit. There are no other options.

The truth is, by any standard used, the rich already pay more than their “fair share” of all federal taxes. In fact, according to IRS data reported by CBO, the rich pay more at a higher tax rate than everyone else.

This means that President BO (the amateur president), along with his allies, the liberal/leftist Democrats, are purely and simply lying to the American public, who cannot believe that their chosen saviors would do such a thing.

Again according to the CBO, the President’s tax policy proposals of increasing taxes on couples making over $250,000 per year would only raise about $34 billion, which is just 3% of the $1.1 trillion deficit. This is a meaningless amount and will result in no measurable advantage to the economy.

If, as predicted by CBO, tax rate increases push the economy back into recession, federal revenues will decline. In addition, both the federal budget deficit and the national debt will increase.

Is that what liberal/leftist Democrats want? If so, why?

There is a solution to the federal revenue “problem.” It is twofold: 1)increase federal revenues by increasing the tax base (that means a net of at least a million more jobs, each of which will produce tax income to the government not currently being collected); and 2)instituting a flat tax on all net income from all sources that is over the “poverty level” of, let’s say $20,000.00.

We are at a crossroads. If the House of Representatives continues to capitulate to the President and the Senate on these destructive tax increases, we will fall over a fiscal cliff far worse than the one we are facing now.

We are facing the utter dissolution of our nation economically. Since we are bigger than Greece, our fall will be much further and much harder than anything Greece could approximate.

Come on, House, get some guts and do what MUST be done if we are to prosper as a nation.

FROM HORSES TO CARS AND BACK TO HORSES

Matt Purple, writing for The American Spectator, presents us with some little known consequences of having elected President BO (the amateur president) to another term.

Here are some of the affects PBO(tap)’s second term will have.

Due to more Machiavellian requirements on car makers regarding vehicle emission standards, the price of the average car or light truck will increase by $3,000. That will lead to fewer cars sold, which will lead to an increase in unemployment in the car sales industry.

A recent report from PricewaterhouseCoopers found that investments in the medical devices and equipment sector will take a hit due to a 2.3% tax on the sale of every medical device (about a 15% tax on the company’s profits.

Due to an Obamacare limit on Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) of $2,500.00, Special education will suffer an effective tax increase. This is because FSAs are popular with parents of special needs children who have been able to use the money on tuition for private schools that accommodate the disabled. Since $2,500.00 is not enough to pay the school bill, this represents an effective tax increase.

The continuation of the Dodd/Frank so-called “Durbin Amendment” means the loss of free checking accounts, because of a limit on debit card transaction fees. In 2011, 35% of banks offered free checking accounts, down from 2009 when 95% of them did. This is certain to decrease further under a second Obama term.

Eric Holder’s Civil Rights Division website, run by the Justice Department, touts a victory over a small apartment complex in South Carolina that advertised an age 21 and up policy. The winning of DOJ’s discrimination lawsuit that further diminished a landlord’s freedom to rent to whomever he pleases, means that there will be more children in apartment complexes designed for a mature living atmosphere.

Have you ever heard of guide dogs? How about guide horses? Well, the afore mentioned  DOJ has decreed that shops and restaurants must admit miniature horses as long as they are accompanied by a blind or disabled person and are “housebroken.” Under the new Obama reign, this type of idiocy is slated to increase with the requirement that guide lizards and guide Tasmanian Devils be admitted as well.

According to the Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products Other That Automobiles (who even knew such an agency existed?), under the new/old administration new efficiency standards for urinals, faucets, shower heads and water closets will result in drier urinals (what a relief!). Imagine how much the horrible smell of restrooms will increase!

I can hardly wait for all of the other decrees, executive orders, department decisions and other avenues to reduce liberty and freedom awaiting us under the Obama second term.

Hey, folks, you voted him in.

I THINK, THEREFORE I WANT BETTER

Well, bonehead Boehner says, “Let’s challenge ourselves to find the common ground that has eluded us."
He also said Republicans are open to raising revenue by reforming the tax code with the help of Obama.

In other words, let's do more of what kept us from overcoming President BO (the amateur president)'s machine in the first place.

NEWSFLASH, Mr. Boehner! You don't get better by doing more of what kept you from being good in the first place!

What Republican leaders have to start realizing is that they failed the base! Their base is as conservative as can be, and they keep thinking that they are somewhere left of due East.

Romney would have made a much better president than PBO(tap). He would have managed well, and might well have brought some level of fiscal sanity back to Washington DC.

He lost because he did not appeal to the base. He appealed much more to RINOs.

The rest of us went along with him because we believed Anybody but Obama.

That, however, proved to be our undoing.

The Republican Party, as a whole, has given the majority (conservatives) no reason to stick with them.

A legitimate third Party is all we have left.

I say let the RINOs languish. Let them flap in the wind. Let them die off slowly (or more deservedly, quickly).

They will not lead. They will not stand firm. They will not develop a backbone. They will not be consistent. They will not accept the will of their majority constituent.

So, let them rot.

They've given us two fraudulent "conservatives" in John McCain and Mitt Romney. Let's not let them ever do that to us again.

Let's find and develop a true conservative and begin grooming him/her for 2016, if we even have free elections in 2016.

Thursday, November 8, 2012

OK. LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENED

Pundits at Hot Air, Politico,  American Thinker and dozens of other conservative blogs and news sites have offered "explanations" of why Republicans (Romney/Ryan) did not win Tuesday.

The answer is not the proverbial rocket science. It's simple.

President Obama (the amateur president) got more electoral votes than Romney (the pseudo-conservative) did.

Putting aside that the Electoral College needs some kind of work-over, let's see why PBO (tap) won the key states...or any states, for that matter.

The populace has changed.

About half of the citizens of the United States have been conditioned to see everything in the light of the mythical "greater good."

They also see everything in terms of what any given government action does for them, personally.

This seems like a contradiction and/or oxymoron.

But it is born of the same attitude: I want what I want when I want it where I want it how I want it and I want it right now.

Additionally, the same half of citizens see what is "good for them" and generalize it to the population as a whole. "If it's good for me, it must be good for everybody."

President BO (the amateur president) promised the world to all of these citizens:

Free health care (even though it will be both immediately expensive and long-term unsustainable);

Free cell phones;

Free computers;

Free fresh air;

Free green energy (that will cost everyone through the nose and that doesn't work);

Free income if you're out of work;

And so on and so on.

The other half of citizens will have to pay for this, of course, but President BO (the amateur president) figured that there were now more of the former half than the latter.

He was right.

The other factor was Republicans, themselves.

Republicans are so afraid of being ridiculed for their "conservatism," that they just could not bring themselves to take a conservative stand on almost any issue.

They spoke of smaller government and not raising taxes, but they didn't mean a word of it.

Well, Paul Ryan did, but he was not the head of the ticket.

He was, however, used as the justification for some of Romney's "flip-flops" on some issues.

All in all, Republicans did not present a unified theory of how to attract and secure their base.

Fact is, they don't really understand who their base is.

Romney was selected in the first place to placate the RINOs in the party, and that he did.

See what it got him.

He was justified by the "anybody but Obama" mantra of the political right. I, myself, took that stand...but not until AFTER Romney was nominated.

And what we got was four more years of fear, leftism and amateurism.

And we got what we deserved.

(For other clear analyses, check this out over at GeeeeZ, and this at Teresamerica.)

NEGATIVE GREEN ENERGY

President BO (the amateur president) promised to back and support green energy in the U.S.

Accordingly, he established a green jobs training program as part of his stimulus.

As it turns out, according to an internal audit, it was discovered that the training program was training people who already had jobs and did not need the skills he was forcing on them.

Additionally, once they finished their “training,” the were, by-and-large, unable to be placed in green energy jobs at all.

According to the Labor Department, only 38% of people who took the training got jobs that required the skills they had learned, and only 16 percent of those kept their jobs for more than six months.

How much did the government spend on this “green jobs” training program? Well, $400 million was set aside for it and so far, $328.5 million has been spent on it.

Only half of those trainees were potential new energy employees, the rest having already had energy oriented jobs.

(You can check this out at the Washington Times.)

If you wondered what some of the failed green companies that received bailout money and failed, check this out:

1. Amonix Solar – closed

2. Solar Trust of Americ – Bankrupt April 3, 2012

3. Bright Source – Lost billions of dollars, but is getting more.

4. Solyndra – Received $500 million and failed

5. LSP Energy – Bankrupt February 2012

6. Energy Conversion Devices – Bankrupt February 14, 2012

7. Abound Solar – Received $400 million – Announced bankruptcy in June, 2012

8. SunPower – Was near bankruptcy, restructured and is failing again

9. BeaconPower – Bankrupt October, 2011 after $43 million loan guarantee

10. Ecotally - $115 million from govt. – on the verge of bankruptcy

11. A123 Solar - $279 million , lost $400 million and is getting another $500 million

BENGHAZI-GATE...WORSE THAN WATER-GATE

On October 26, President BO (the amateur president) was asked about the reports on CBS and Fox News, a week earlier, that the CIA and our military denied direct requests for help by the Americans fighting for their lives during the seven-hour battle in Benghazi.
Denver TV's Kyle Clark tried to pin Obama down by asking the key question: "Were they denied requests for help during the attack?"

The President's response was:

"... the minute I found out what was happening, I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. ... I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number-one priority making sure that people were safe."

Three very clear directives? Do you believe he gave three very clear directives?

If he did not, he was lying to Kyle Clark and to the American public.

If he DID, then the "clear directives" of the Commander in Chief were disobeyed by the state department, the military and the CIA, as well as whoever "you name it" refers to.

Trouble is, liberal/leftists in particular and Obomacrats in general do not care that President BO (the amateur president) lied about this most egregious set of events.

Such is the moral character of the liberal left.

Such will be the moral character of the leadership of this country is Obama is re-elected.

A MATTER OF PERCEPTION AND PRIORITIES

In May of 2002, the Bush administration requested that Congress approve an electrical grid upgrade in the U.S.

Democrats in Congress thought he was just rewarding his "cronies" and turned it down.

Don't you wonder how much less damage to the electrical systems in the Northeast would have been caused by Hurricane Sandy if that upgrade had taken place?

Before you answer, try reading the request to see what was in it (even though it was not passed).

And now we learn that NYC is providing generators for the New York Marathon while denying them to Staten Island.

Liberals care.

Right.
