WATCH OUT! HERE COMES THE GLOBAL WARMING!

Welcome back! So glad you are OK.

But once again you demonstrate your ignorance about "Global Warming" and what that actually means.

"Global Warming", in actual scientific terms, refers to an increase in the AVERAGE GLOBAL TEMPERATURE, not local weather events.

What an increase in the average global temperature predicts is a disruption of global weather patterns such as changes to the jet stream, the surface temperature of the oceans and the consequential creation of high and low pressure systems that create localized weather conditions.

In layman's terms, this means that due to changes in the jet stream places like Georgia and Mississippi can get buried in snow and ice while the Midwest experiences stronger and more violent F5 tornadoes.

You even start to get tornadoes in the northeast NJ & NY, which was almost unprecedented since we began keeping weather records.

In layman's terms, the warming oceans can get unprecedented thawing in the Arctic that makes the long sought Northwest Passage a reality and stronger hurricanes in the Atlantic.

All of which is actually happening TODAY.

Meteorologists and climate scientists stopped using the term "Global Warming" years ago because it was obvious to them that the general, knuckle-dragging public thought that it meant EVERYTHING WILL KEEP GETTING HOTTER EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME!!!

"Global Climate Change" is a more accurate description of the impact of Global Warming.

But I'm sure this level of detail has overloaded your capacity for rational reasoning.

Good to have you back buddy! You had us all worried.

Joe, Please take 6:35 of your time to watch this video. It explains why it's cold in Florida. If you are at all interested in intellectual honesty, I hope you watch it. Let us know what you think.

If There's Global Warming ... Why Is It So Cold?

XO: The average global temperature has gone down. The Antarctic ice mass has increased the the Arctic ice mass has stopped shrinking. Sun spots have decreased to a 60 year low and there is NO global warming. But you just keep on using your old erroneous data. That's OK.

Craig: It is cold in Florida because the temperature has dropped. An arctic air mass swooped south and brought some cold air with it. It has happened before.

In 1950 it snowed in San Antonio, Texas. In 1958 it snowed in Warner Robins, Georgia and in since I have lived in south Florida I have seen it snow three times. The point is that the climate is variable and is much more connected to the number of sun spots at a given position of the earth relative to the sun than it is to man-made CO2 or any other factor.

Earth has seen periods of extreme heat and extreme cold (Ice Age, anyone?) from the beginning.

Craig: Your video was mostly a bunch of rip-and-read weather persons reporting what they had pulled off the wire. Every weather person gets the exact same "forecast" (which is nothing more than a report of what's happening at a given moment), no matter which ones claim to be more right than the other.

Climate change is real, but it is not man made. It is caused by natural and cosmic forces that you (mankind)are not big enough to affect more than 1/1000000000%, and that over 6 or 7 million years.

The jet stream shifts because of a combination of earth rotation, earth tilt, sun spot activity and other forces of nature.

Notice the reference in the video was to the Northern Hemisphere. Uhh, that's only half of the equation. Southern portions of the Southern hemisphere are colder than average with polar ice caps INCREASING. (Global warming study ships even get stuck in them...quite unexpectedly.)

Global temperatures will rise and fall over the next few hundred years and scientists will cry wolf with predictions of coming ice ages and coming global warming every time.

Climate changes. That's what it does. That is the definition of "climate," the way weather changes.

Joe - Every single one of your "argumants" are absolutely wrong.

Joe - We could use a little global warming here in Indiana.
Tempertures have been way below normal and now we are getting a heat wave - in the 20's!

XO: No, your link is wrong.

Ya know, if I write 2 + 2 = 5, I have my facts right but my conclusion is wrong. That's what you guys do, for your agenda's sake. Add to that the idea that, for instance, "The last decade 2000-2009 was the hottest on record." is meaningless. If the trend started two years ago, it does not matter what the last 10 years was.

If you really look at what the site says, much of it agrees with me.

How well I remember a couple decades back that the "scientists" and left-wing enviro-wackos were hollering about man-caused global cooling.

When you have an agenda to control people's lives, you don't need facts - you just need a chicken-little approach.

Human activity as no significant effect on global warming.

Discover the cause of the warming, the end of it, and why temperatures are headed down.

Two primary drivers of average global temperatures explain the reported up and down measurements since before 1900 with 90% accuracy and provide credible estimates back to the low temperatures of the Little Ice Age (1610).

CO2 change is NOT one of the drivers.

The drivers are given at http://agwunveiled.blogspot.com/ which includes eye opening graphs and a plethora of links and sub-links to credible data sources.

An extreme religious fundamentalist has the nerve to talk about trying to control people's lives.

Really, Glenn, hanging around just waiting for the end times isn't everyone's idea of science.

It is also worth reminding Glenn that the global cooling theory had a very small following.
It did not gain acceptance in the scientific community.

It was sort of the "young earth" movement (what's the age, Glenn, c. 8000 years?) of its time.
I'm sure you have the facts to back up young earth theory, right Glenn.

Ducky,

I'm not the one trying to control ANYONE's lives.

And I'm not "just waiting for the end times."
I actually educate myself with the issues. Too bad you and your ilk just follow the party line of the LEFT as you jump off the cliff.

Ducky,
By the way, the global cooling gang didn't have all the politics behind it - they didn't have Obama and ALGORE. Follow the money

There is plenty of bonafide scientific evidence for YEC, but you'd prefer to remain ignorant rather than study the subject in depth.
