TYPICAL LIBERAL THOUGHT PATTERN GONE NUTS

"Most billionaires are violent pedophiles & consumers of violent pedo porn. They get a kick out of being heartless cruel empty cocaine addicts."

Well, we finally know what they really think.

Liberals have lost any simblance of credibility they ever had.

These people have lost it!

Proof positive that liberalism is a mental disease.

ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE:

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air writes:

From a week ago today, Democrats like Debbie Wasserman Schultz openly criticized Republicans for holding a long-planned convention as Hurricane Isaac first looked to hit Tampa, and then Mississippi and Louisiana. A Yahoo news bureau chief got fired after an open mic picked up his accusation that Mitt Romney and the GOP were happy to party while black people drowned.

And yet, Obama himself seemed oddly disconnected from the event, even though it would have provided a perfect tableau for him to demonstrate his leadership. He refused to act on Bobby Jindal’s repeated request for full emergency status. Instead of going to Louisiana and Mississippi to take charge or at least get a ground-level look at the issues (and be seen doing so), or at the very least stay in the White House to oversee federal-state coordination, Obama went to Virginia to campaign — at the same time the chair of his own party was criticizing Republicans who have nothing to do with emergency management in the area for holding a political event.

He really is AMATEUR IN CHIEF!

FEMA is doing a good job, post storm. See for yourself.

I'm sure if he ran down to N.O. he would have been accused of trying to upstage the convention. Pepubs are very good at 'tableau' and crafting photo-ops. It's more important to actually do something than look like you're doing something.

I enjoyed the juxtaposition of Jindal begging for more Fed money, pre-storm, against the Repubs in Tampa screaming for cuts and telling us govt.s the problem.

I'm off to Rosanne's blog to get my marching orders.

As for the "You didn't build that business" speech. Obama said what he said, and meant what he said, and there is no way to spin it otherwise. Nice try., but no cigar. My dad DID build his business, he got nothing handed to him, he was an affirmative action employer before anyone ever thought of that term, and yes, he used some roads, but HIS taxes paid for those roads -- the government does not have any of its own money. THAT is the intellectually dishonest part of Obama's false comments, as well.. So you Libs and you Progressive's or whatever the hell you are calling yourselves these days, don't try to pull the wool over our eyes, we are not as dumb as YOU think we are.

Craig: Come on! They screamed bloody murder at Bush when he was lat to Katrina.

PBO(tcp) wasn't even going to make an appearance until Romney forced him into it with his own appearance.

You serve a self-oriented, narcissistic despot.

Mindy B: Business are assessed for the roads that serve them. So, they paid for them themselves. That means a business that does not supply a physical product (like an engineering firm, law office, and thousands of other examples) and who do not make use of federal highways for their business, DID, INDEED, "BUILD THAT."

Of course those who produce a product did, too.

You are quite right in your assessment.

For me, the real question this election year isn't "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?".

The answer to that question is "Oh HECK yeah!". Everyone I knew who was out of work 4 years ago not only has a job, but they've actually moved up to better jobs. I don't even know anyone who doesn't have a job.

The REAL question is, "Are you better off now than you would have been if McCain/Palin had been running the show for the last 4 years?"

Just think about what a messed up soup sandwich this country would be today with those two chuckleheads in charge for the last 4 years.

Romney/Ryan is an even less qualified and more dumb-downed version of McCain/Palin.

Is that really what you want?

Joe, Nobody cared if Bush showed up personally, they were waiting for help to show up. It took him 2 days to even acknowledge a major U.S. city was under water.

Here's a timeline to refresh your memory. That's what incompetence looks like. Bush was the guy who gave a horse judge the patronage job to head FEMA.

Business are assessed for the roads that serve them. So, they paid for them themselves.

I own a small construction co. My wife owns a retail shop located on a busy city street. We pay our taxes as do the other business' and residents of the street my wife's shop is on and the streets I travel on every day. We didn't pay for them ourselves. We, and every other business, rely on a water and sewer system, electrical grid, educated workers, a court system, plowed streets in the winter, etc.

My business is heavily regulated. I have to comply with a building code. My work is inspected at every phase. It's good for me. I want to produce a great product. I won't be undercut because my competition must also meet standards that the client might not be aware of. The customer can be reasonably assured those standards are being met. Win, win.

When the Repubs use the slogan "We built that", That is exactly what Obama said. From the his speech,

Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.

We, collectively, did build that.

Craig: "We, collectively, did build that."

No, we didn't.

But I understand that liberals actually believe that distortion of what happens.

My paying taxes for roads does NOT mean I helped you build your small construction business. I didn't, and I wouldn't...not voluntarily, anyway.

You will never understand that the confiscation of money from citizens and giving it to some public works company to build a road is NOT me helping you build your business.

If I die, you would still operate your business. Or would you?

In other words, with or without me, you are responsible for your business, and it's none of my business.

I don't understand. I use to like Bush, but when he started a hurricane right in the middle of the Republican Convention, I don't know, somehow that doesn't seem right.
