The doctor in the video is uninformed and repeating something false:

She claims 16,000 new "IRS agents" would be empowered to enforce the health care law. This claim carries a kernel of truth. The IRS will have to hire agents to implement these changes.

But her statement misstated the findings of a partisan estimate. Ways and Means Republicans said that about 16,000 "employees," not "agents," may be hired to enforce the bill’s provisions. They also acknowledged that the actual number of hires may be lower.

IRS budget requests for the 2012 and 2013 fiscal years show they asked for about 375 more agents so far -- far less than 16,000.

Politifact rates the doctor's claim as mostly false.

I stopped listening after this mostly false statement. She, like a lot of GOP candidates--think Ryan and Romney--play fast and loose with the truth.

SK: As you well know, the bulk of the AHA kicks in in 2014, not 2012 and/or 2013.

And the 375 is for those fiscal years, a total of 750 "employees," known as agents.

By 2914 the number is expected to be somewhere up to and including 16,000 new IRS workers, whatever they are called, who will ALL be involved in enforcement in one way or another.

But the point is the same, regardless of the numbers. IRS will grow in both numbers and enforcement power to a degree never seen before.

The focus of their power will be enforcement of AHA.

Not a good thing, any way you slice it.

Thank goodness we have Shaw to patrol the blogs for facts that she cuts and pastes from let wing sites.
The doctor is uninformed and she is so informed with facts because whitehouse.gov says so.

Lisa, you apparently didn't read this part of my comment:

"Ways and Means Republicans said that about 16,000 "employees," not "agents," may be hired to enforce the bill’s provisions. They also acknowledged that the actual number of hires may be lower.

But as you've said, you believe in false facts, so I understand why real facts are irritating to you.
