There Are But A Few Rules To Follow

2. Respect for Life
3. The Smallest Possible Government
4. Individual Responsibility
This blog is about my philosophy of government, which is a very conservative philosophy.
You are not required to agree with me (although you would be better off if you did).
I am biased toward conservatism, and make no apologies for that.
Freedom means not being controlled by the government, that being the very reason we declared our independence from Great Britain.

Government's job is not to provide things for people, but to provide the opportunity for people to persue the things they want via the vehicles of freedom and responsibility.

Can you imagine if a former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. senator had called a current Republican president a delusional liar whose programs are wasteful. Would the mainstream media not be all over the story? Such a person would be vilified by the Media and by their own party!
I don't know if you've heard about this but.
Sen. Bob Kerrey said those word about Obama, and I’m still waiting for Hell to break out!
And he also said that he knew full well he was lying when he promised that the Affordable Care Act would allow Americans to keep insurance plans they liked.
Closing in on 7M signed up for private plans on the exchange (the ones who haven't paid haven't gotten a bill yet from the ins. co.). 4M now have ins. through expanded Medicaid and 7M under age 26 allowed to stay on parents ins. Millions more not be denied for preexisting condition, not facing lifetime caps, seniors paying less for drugs (eliminating donut hole). The slowest growth in health care costs since the 60's.

The move follows a recent administration decision to allow the same impoverished beneficiaries to sign up for Medicare drug coverage until Dec. 31.

I have to wonder how many of those who signed up lost their coverage and now paying higher premiums.
What happened to those 40 million who according to Obama was the reason or the ACA because people were dying by the thousands due to having no health insurance.
Not to mention more and more doctors are less likely to accept Medicaid patients.
So basically having insurance doesn't mean having health care.
Not to worry the media along with Obama will be out there claiming what big success this is just like they were claiming health care costs would go down and you can keep your doctor and you plan. Period.

The web site still doesn't work right. It does not tell the end users who has paid and who has not paid; only who has visited and/or tried to sign up.

I dont know Joe, my personal application worked out as have my payments. As has my savings of over $900.00 a month on prescriptions.

I'm glad for you. I'm not glad for my wife. I'm not glad for the tens of thousands who were forced out of the policies they had. I'm not glad for those forced to cover things they don't need coverage for. I'm not glad that men have coverage for hysterectomies and birth control pills. I'm not glad that the web site does not work, even though the ever-changing "deadline" has passed. I'm not glad for those who had insurance but now don't.
But I'm glad for you. You're what really matters.
Thanks joe... and apparently more than 7 million others who now have insurance.
The GOP had a chance to help improve the plan, as the Dems did when GW Bush expanded Medicare.
They refused.
The GOP could have passed, or helped craft legislation to end denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions.
They refused.
The GOP could have worked to help families keep kids on their policies until age 25.
They refused.
All of these would have won them some respect from many corners related to our health care issues.
Instead they opposed every suggestion, even ones they had previously supported. Instead, rather than try to improve legislation, they refused to do anything, except vote to repeal it and replace it with nothing.
Is the ACA perfect? Not a chance. Is it a boon to many like me and my wife? Yes it is. Are some people losing coverage or unhappy with it? yes they are.
So why can't both parties acknowledge a need for reform and work together?
Only one party is saying, indeed has ever said in recent history that a sitting President is not to be trusted and as such, will not deal with him.
We all know which party that is.
Your ire should be directed at the obstructionists, not those who tried, and maybe even failed, to do something good for millions of Americans.
How many of those supposed 7 million DID have insurance but got it cancelled due to Obamacare?

The A.C.A. doesn't cover inanimate objects, it covers human beings. Y'know those folks who were made in God's image and whom Jesus said "whatever you do for the least of mine, you do for me." Why is it that Christian charity, the best part of that religion, IMO, flies out the door when it comes to providing suffering human beings with a chance to afford a health care policy? What do these folks see as evil in that simple idea?

Nonsense. And people like Joe throw out that sort of hogwash because they're angry Obamacare didn't fail.
What a terrible state we're in where otherwise decent people wish suffering and hardship on their fellow Americans because of who's in the White House.

So did insurance companies before ObamaCare. Some were uncovered. Now there is coverage for everybody, except that some are uncovered.
I guess that's what they mean by "exchange."
Give it up Joe, my friend. Obamacare is here to stay.
