In anticipation of another 12 hour work day, this blog will be closed until Tuesday night. 4:00 AM comes early and 7:30 PM comes late, so I doubt that I will feel very much like writing 'till then.
Y'all have fun and don't eat each other up until I get back.
Ya know, you probably wouldn't have to work a 12 hour shift if ya had a Union there.
You gettin' paid time and a half for those extra 4 hours?
I'm guessing not.
I'm betting you're getting paid a straight salary no matter how many hours you work and you think you're getting a fair deal just because the rich guy who hired you is willing to pay you anything at all for whatever the heck it is that you do.
XO: I'm not getting paid extra for those four hours, but not because I'm not union, it's because I work a 40 hour week. Two 12s and two 8s. And it was my choice to do it that way.
Mean old boss. Let me do it my way. Imagine the horror of it.
Overtime is paid a 1 1/2 and holidays are double-time.
And, yes, considering Southwest Florida's economy and average pay, I'm getting more than a fair deal.
Joe, great response! You deserve a fair deal, and you're just the type who'll take a fair deal and demand no more. It's why you have a job and some people don't. God bless you, Joe.
I was born in Miami, Florida, the son of an Air Force officer, traveled the world, was saved at age 17, and have served the Lord since. That's me on the left and my lovely wife, Bonnie...the pretty one...on the right.

FOUR PRINCIPLES THAT DEFINE TRUE CONSERVATISM:
1. Respect for The Constitution
2. Respect for Life
3. The Smallest Possible Government
4. Individual Responsibility
This blog is about my philosophy of government, which is a very conservative philosophy.
You are not required to agree with me (although you would be better off if you did).
I am biased toward conservatism, and make no apologies for that.
Freedom means not being controlled by the government, that being the very reason we declared our independence from Great Britain.
Government's job is not to provide things for people, but to provide the opportunity for people to persue the things they want via the vehicles of freedom and responsibility.

Great benefits package, too!
What a schlump I am.
Don't work too hard - Joe. We need you here - too.
