WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO WRONG WITH JUST TELLING THE TRUTH?

On CBS’ ‘“Face the Nation,” Sunday, March 3, 2013, Education Secretary Arne Duncan stated that teachers are “getting pink slips” because of sequestration.

He said, "There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can't come back this fall."

When he discovered that his lie wasn’t flying straight, he began to back-track saying, “Most haven’t happened yet,” but that he knew of a West Virginia school district in Kanawha County that had “issued notices.”

Upon further questioning, , Arne Duncan back-tracked a little more, saying, “Whether it’s all sequester related, I don’t know…” He also revealed mostly Title I teachers and Head Start teachers were involved and that it was a matter of operational funding being cut.

He also stated that they were the ones being let go, “getting pink slips now.”

It turns out that about 104 employees of the Kanawha County were getting transfer notices, not pink slips and that it had nothing to do with sequestration, that according to the director of Title I for the school district. She stated that only five or six jobs would go by the wayside, and that they would have been eliminated anyway, and was not related to sequestration.

Washington Post’s fact-checker Glenn Kessler wrote. "Duncan's scare story about teacher layoffs -- right now, at this moment -- was apparently too good to check," The newspaper gave Duncan “four pinocchios” for accuracy.

Why do liberals and MSM give members of the Obama Administration (and Obama, himself) a pass when they flat out-and-out lie?

How are we supposed to know which of their statements are true and which are lies? When are we supposed to trust them and when are we supposed to doubt them?

MISTER HONEST INFORMS YOU AGAIN

In the news conference in which President BO (the amateur president) announced that he and Congress did not reach an agreement to avoid the sequester cuts, he said:

"[A]ll the folks who are cleaning the floors at the Capitol -- now that Congress has left, somebody is going to be vacuuming and cleaning those floors and throwing out the garbage -- they're going to have less pay," Mr. Obama said. "The janitors, the security guards, they just got a pay cut, and they've got to figure out how to manage that. That's real."

Carlos Elias, the superintendent of the U.S. Capitol building and the Capitol Visitors Center, states categorically, "The pay and benefits of EACH of our employees WILL NOT be impacted." 

Luckily, we CAN believe everything else President BO (the amateur president) says...can't we?

I'M RUBBER, YOU'RE GLUE

I don't watch Hannity, but I came across this video of an interview he tried to do with Keith Ellison (D-MN).

Like every liberal/leftist/progressive Democrat I have ever heard, Ellison plays the little child's game of "I'm rubber, you're glue. Everything you say bounces off of me and sticks on you."

Ellison starts out by telling Hannity,  "You are the worse excuse for a journalist I've ever seen."

Whether that is true or not, no person with any sense of decorum would start an interview that way. Keith Ellison has no sense of decorum.

To top it off, Ellison accused Hannity of "Yellow Journalism," telling him that he does not tell the American people anything close to what's really going on. Then he uses bullying tactics for the rest of the interview to NOT take the opportunity to tell the American people what's really going on.

He was belligerent,  he wouldn't let Hannity speak, even after Hannity gave him several minutes to speak without interruption, and he repeatedly just said back to Hannity the same words Hannity had just said about him.

It reminded me of the arguments Ricky and David used to have on the Ozzie and Harriet show. "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" "Did too!" ad infinitum.

Now, I fault Hannity for a couple of things. First, he said, "Let me ask you a question," without actually stating his question up front. Instead he went into a lengthy background for his question, which gave Ellison the chance to interrupt him and throw his tripe at him.

Secondly, Hannity fell into the trap laid by Ellison every time Ellison said something bad about Hannity. Instead of pressing on, Hannity chose to respond to the attack as though he was going to be able to make the "accusations" go away.

Those are poor interview techniques and somebody should help Hannity get past them.

Nevertheless, Ellison behaved like a little child, showed himself for who he really is, was ill mannered, was unresponsive and made a fool of himself.

He is the perfect representation of the liberal/left/progressive tactic in every argument in which they ever engage.

(Note: The point of this post is not Hannity, it is Ellison's behavior. Let's do something different and see if we can stick to the subject.)

Amazing! We're going to lose more jobs than we have!

The outlook is grimmer than we thought.

DANGER! DANGER! THE SKY IS FALLING! SEQUESTRATION IS THE NEXT WORSE THING THAN CASTRATION! WE'RE DOOMED.

Yes, indeed! We are doomed because 2% of the INCREASE in the budget will be cut!

Two percent...not of the budget, of the budget INCREASE.

Only a politician would consider a decrease of the increase a decrease...a politician and most liberals.

That is a stupid as it gets.

Let's see. I spent $10 on groceries last week. This week I will spend $12. Now that I've thought about it I think I'll just spend $11. Oh! Look! I just decreased my grocery spending by $1!

Why does my checking account have $1 less than last week? Answer, according to liberals, because I decreased my spending.

With regard to the truth about sequestration, who can tell?

Up until THE MORNING OF Friday, March 1, 2013, sequestration was going to kick in at 11:59 plus one minute THURSDAY NIGHT! Every MSM source said so, as they were simultaneously telling us how catastrophic it would be. So did our fearless leader, President BO (the amateur president). FRIDAY was to be the day sequestration would begin.

Suddenly, it wouldn't kick in until Midnight FRIDAY NIGHT!

What happened?

I'll tell you exactly what happened.

Every single politician, every reporter for every newspaper, every TV journalist, every liberal blog, every liberal talk show host and even the Emperor, himself,  made the same mistake.

Not a one of them could figure it out and if they did, they were too intimidated to correct those who got it wrong.

If you believe that, I have a bridge...oh, never mind.

But we should trust them.

NOW, WHICH ONE IS EASIER TO USE?

Biden says, "Get a shot gun."

Shot guns hurt the shooter (especially is the shooter is a woman).

AR15s don't hurt to fire.

Which one would be better for self protection?

Come on, liberals. Get your emotions out of the picture and watch the facts.
