Joe - This is definitely a case of gun winning over knife. He was in the right place at the right time and he probably kept more people from being wounded - maybe saved a life.
Joe is on and on about armed response and the whole idea of being prepared to meet force with greater force.
In the wake of the bombings it was my intent to deflect the topic away from force.
Joe, that was the population within two blocks of the blast site. It was an eclectic group with one photo being a Muslim family buying a balloon animal for their son. Just a message that we aren't going to bash Muslims and play an eye for an eye.
I was born in Miami, Florida, the son of an Air Force officer, traveled the world, was saved at age 17, and have served the Lord since. That's me on the left and my lovely wife, Bonnie...the pretty one...on the right.

FOUR PRINCIPLES THAT DEFINE TRUE CONSERVATISM:
1. Respect for The Constitution
2. Respect for Life
3. The Smallest Possible Government
4. Individual Responsibility
This blog is about my philosophy of government, which is a very conservative philosophy.
You are not required to agree with me (although you would be better off if you did).
I am biased toward conservatism, and make no apologies for that.
Freedom means not being controlled by the government, that being the very reason we declared our independence from Great Britain.
Government's job is not to provide things for people, but to provide the opportunity for people to persue the things they want via the vehicles of freedom and responsibility.

Bomb site - a photo essay
like Egypt i'm sure Obama is doing his best to send money to 'gun-free' Chicago too..
Great photos, Duckie. Starkly intimate.
Thanks, Shaw.
The best was the little girl with the balloon hat.
She saw me swing the camera and posed. She held that beautiful position with her hands.
I snapped a couple and just bowed and said, "Thank you".
As usual, Ducky has to post something totally irrelevant to the topic.
GEC: I looked at the pictures and found them well composed, with great contrast, meaningless and disorganized.
They also had nothing to do with my post, as you said.
They were as relevant as most of what he has to say.
No, Glen, it wasn't.

Nothing on God's earth is meanlingless.
... but thanks for looking at them, Glenn and Joe.
I try to find the divine in the mundane. It's not up to me to say if I succeed but in your case I apparently failed.
Now back to guns, God's business.
Joe, how does a photo acquire meaning?
Very difficult question.
I'm still crushed that you find my photos meaningless, Joe.
Ambiguous, yes but I just don't see how the human comedy can be meaningless. I'm just not as nihilistic as the far right.
Ducky: "I'm still crushed that you find my photos meaningless, Joe."
Why am I not surprised at Joe's reaction to your photos?
A wise person once said that we often see in a work of art that which is most prominent in our nature.
