The Deception We Stupid Americans Fell For

We insured so many previously uninsured Americans, didn't we? We solved the insurance problems of the United States, didn't we. We have achieved health coverage for everybody, haven't we?

The Balance of Good for Americans

Nobody is saying what needs to be said: Jonathan Gruber is dead spot on right: the American voter as a collective group is as dumb as a box of rocks. Dummber than a bag of hammers, and doesn't have the brains God gave a crow bar, Joe.

We just don't like hearing it said out loud, that's the rub.

Sure, there are some smart voters here and there, but the proof is in the pudding. We (us voters) elected Barack Obama twice. How smart could we possibly be? I rest my case.

Stated another way, when a football team goes winless for the season and ends up at 0-11, we correctly say that this team is a cruddy football team. Collectively. Now, not each and every player is cruddy, there may be some very talented, speedy quick players that suit up every game, but the entire team just doesn't get the job done.

Nobody on this team likes being called cruddy, but it is what it is.

Ditto with Jonathan Gruber. He just had the bad manners to say it with the cameras rolling.

Fredd: You're right about that. I wonder whether the stupid voters have any idea that they made a bad decision.

I think the stupid voters are the ones who believed in all of that phony hope and change horse manure.

The bought the notion that the sea levels would lower, that the world would love us since that stupid cowboy Bush was no longer in the saddle, that if we liked our doctor we could keep our doctor, that if we liked our plan, we could keep our plan, that our premiums would go down $2500 a year, and on and on.

And I think the stupid voters who believed all of that and now see that NONE of it was even close to true, YES: I think quite a few (but not all) of them feel a bit duped.
