One would think that an All Powerful God who gave that land to his Chosen People would do a better job defending them from their enemies.

He has a history of defeating armies, bringing down walls, sending plagues and creating natural disasters to benefit his followers.

Yet he doesn't lift a finger to help the Jews.

Is it because 2000 years later he is still in a childish snit because they were mean to his little boy?

Or has he retired to a smaller throne in the south of Heaven and is no longer in the miracle business?

There was a time when all it took was a golden calf or someone consuming the wrong produce to set him off and get him involved.

Not anymore. To paraphrase Epicurus, he is either unable or unwilling to help his people or punish his people's enemies.

He is irrelevant.

Nice arrogant snide. As a matter of fact He has lifted a lot more than His finger. But His people keep turning away from Him. They eventually come back, as they will again. He will be there for them.

It's not a snit. It's righteous indignation. At least that's what He calls it, and He should know.

For you, however, there's more than a little doubt.

You don't and won't find this in your daily newspaper.

An Israeli father was moderately injured by shrapnel Thursday morning, moments after he helped a group of young children — including his son, whose birthday it was — to scramble to safety when a rocket slammed into the Eshkol region community kindergarten.

None of the children was injured in the attack and the man was taken to Soroka Medical Center for treatment.

In sweeps of the area, residents discovered that another rocket also hit a barn, killing several cows and causing extensive damage to the structure.

Over 80 rockets were fired out of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip at Israel on Thursday, targeting southern towns surrounding the Palestinian enclave, as well as Ashkelon, Ashdod, Modi’in and the central region.

JCon: We will rue the day we decided not to keep Israel on the same moral and political level as the US.
