As I Say Do, Not As I Do Do

You stupid Americans can't possibly remember what I said, so I'll just tell you something that makes sense (if only to me) and you won't notice that I contradicted one of my specific, crucial campaign promises. We'll just keep on blaming Bush.

Well, here is what he said previously as President of the United States:

Don't you just love consistency of message?

(Oh, and did you get the sense that he was rambling? What a polished speaker!)

Joe - When President Obama speaks off the cuff he does tend to ramble. But I would imagine that many presidents did the same.

He is the target of much criticism
but that is the way it goes for imcumbent presidents. He has to take the bad with the good - if there is any good.

If it were discovered that the president could walk on water, Joe would criticize him for not being able to swim.

sh: I agree to an extent. But Obama supporters told us he was the most intelligent, articulate president in the history of the nation. He's not.

XO: "If it were discovered that the president could walk on water..."

That might change a lot of things.

Uhh, can he swim? I don't know.

No. They. Didn't. That's what you Obama-bashers IMAGINED his supporters said so that you could go all straw man on anything he said or did.

But the truth is that it is the right wingers who called him the "Messiah" and "Anointed One."

We have a more grounded image of our leaders. We know they all have feet of clay and make mistakes.

So, no, Joe. You and your friends keep at that meme if it curls your toes.

We liberals just roll our eyes and shake our heads at that sort of nonsense.

Well, Joe, I have to admit that he didn't manage a final resolution in the Middle East. And I'm sure you have binders full of folks who could have managed that task.

Supplying the Kurds may backfire or it may turn out to be absolutely correct. But I'm sure you'll be second guessing.

Any willingness to give him credit for constructive handling of the Mount Sinjar situation? No?
Well, at least you're true to form, Joe.

Any willingness to give credit for removing Assad's chemical agents? No? Well, at least you're true to form, Joe.

Any willingness to blame him for every set back in the mid East? Yes? Well, at least you're true to form, Joe.
