WE'RE AMERICANS AND WE SHOULDN'T KNOW

NSA

We are Americans and we should not know!

We should not know that agencies of our government have the capability to snoop on our phone calls, our E-Mails, our Internet visits and our comings and goings.

Get them conservatives!

We are Americans and we should not know!

We should not know that the IRS sets out to specifically target certain groups for harassment and that those groups are suspected of nefarious activities because of their request for tax-exempt status.

We are Americans and we should not know!

We should not know that weapons sold to Mexicans found their way back to the United States to be used by those Mexicans against Americans.

We are Americans and we should not know!

We should not know where President Obama (the amateur president) was the night of the Benghazi attacks on the American Consulate there.

We are Americans and we should not know!

We should not know that military help was only minutes away, not hours, as previously reported.

We should not know that hundreds of thousands of ObamaPhones were given to people so they could sell them and use the money for drugs.

It would be so much easier on Washington, the president, the Senate and the Congress if we just didn't know what was going on.

Think of it. If we hadn't known these things (and others) our “leaders” could have gotten away with so much more!

Why if we didn't know, they could actually take us over completely and we’d never notice.

After all, we are Americans and we should not know!

(Thanks to  Edward Snowden for portions of the above revelations.)

Joe - We are Americans and we should not know when our government is putting one over on us.

But we do know and we need to do something about it.

Blogging helps us to know.

How much longer do you think the government will allow us to blog freely?

They've already begun taking strides to curtail blogging.

Joe, have you been following the latest news on the IRS "scandal"? Especially the revelation that a very wide variety of groups, left and right, were given the same analysis?
This is as big a non issue as Benghazi.

James O'Keefe? Mr. "True the Vote"?
Joe, you should be ashamed.

Joe - Wow. Actual facts. Your worst enemy.

Ducky: "... the revelation that a very wide variety of groups..."

It had to be revealed? We didn't know? Should we have known? We are Americans, and we should not know.

XO: So what? IRS targeting is wrong. And we shouldn't tolerate it.

Joe, here's what roils me about conservatives and their current take on politics.

You guys overreach.

Conservatives were all sure the IRS scandal was worse that Watergate where we had the President words saying to target people.

We had Issa calling Jay Carney a liar and saying that the scandal went to the White House.

Now when those fears have been shown to be false and unfounded, and we see that groups of all political stripes were targeted for additional scrutiny, folks like you try and claim the higher ground by saying all targeting is wrong.

Conservatives, you included, have no credibility taking that route if you do not so at the beginning.

The hatred, mocking, and dismissal of our President by you and others is not only hurting our country, it is hurting yours and my Christian witness.

How is behavior like this, calling the President names, demeaning his intelligence, etc., showing CHristian love?

I am sure there are ways to be critical of his policies without resorting to personal attacks, but I have not much of it from the Christian right.

Your actions, and like actions from people like you have made it more difficult for people like me on the mission field in other countries.

Many of us spend hours answering the criticisms of people, both Christians and non believers abroad about why the Church in the US, the church that sends missionaries all over the world, hates barack Obama so much.

Think about it.

DM: Do you intentionally miss the point, or can't you get it?

I'm at a loss.
