Every week his poll numbers drop a few more points. The media is finally starting to realize he isn't god or the messiah. MSNBC is even starting to make comments derogatory to their king.
The question is, what will this man do when he realizes everyone doesn't love him?
So you found a photo of President Obama giving a speech without a flag in the background, and that proves to you and your commenters that he hates America.
How incisive!
And dishonest.
But that's to be expected from the people who hate America's presidenet.
The web is filled with photos of Mr. Obama giving speeches with American flags as background, but you chose a photo without one to make an invalid point.
If I had the time, I could find photos of Reagan, Bushes, Clintons giving speeches without the flag behind them.
Your post proves nothing except that you will stoop to any sort of dishonesty to bash and discredit America's president.
BTW: That photo with the gold draperies in the background was taken from a room in the White House. What could be more American than America's White House?
And the photo could also have been cropped so that the flags, which are everywhere in the White House, aren't showing up.
But I suppose those possibilities don't occur to someone whose only goal is to make America's president look like he's not America's president.
Joe, you should send your resume to FOX News. I believe you could have a successful career with it.
I wasn't even noticing the flags, but seeing great men, minus Clinton, thinking and using their heads as they spoke, while the great talker, has his teleprompters on hand to help do the thinking for him.
As for the missing American flags, he has never shown any respect for our nation and has never saluted the flag, so I am not at all surprised there isn't one in the background.
That's not a photo of an Obama speech held on a beach somewhere on 10 minute's notice.
That's a press conference in the White House, as you point out. You'd be hard pressed to find a photo of a President of the United States giving a press conference in the White House without a flag behind or beside him. I tried one day and couldn't.
However, In my search I did come across photographs of Obama refusing to hold his hand over his heart at public gatherings during the Pledge of Allegiance (while others surrounding him did so), and also one terribly embarrassing photo of him and his wife holding their left hands over whatever is on their right sides (not hearts, I hope). That's how little practice they've got at showing respect for the flag.
Your pique over Mr. Obama and the flag is phoney. And we all know it.
There has to be a reason why y'all are so exercised over Mr. Obama forgetting to hold his hand over his heart, and not when Mr. Bush walked on the flag, bashed it on his leg in boredom, and then held it up backward.
Shaw, if you think Snopes is a reliable reference, then it is no wonder that you think Obama is a good president. Now I'm laughing.
However, even by your not-too-demanding standards, it is clear that Obama broke with precedent in giving a press conference in the White House in which he chose not to stand with the flag. As Snopes pointed out, presidents giving impromptu speeches in places where an appropriate flag is not available or would seem unlikely (at a picnic, for example, or on a lawn, or while standing on Ground Zero rubble) doesn't necessarily stand with a flag.
At a press conference in the East Room, though, Presidents traditionally stand with the flag. There was a flag in the room at the time Obama gave his East Room presser, but Obama chose not to stand by it. Just like he chooses not to stand by this country or the people who are citizens of it.
Most Americans recognize that symbolism. Perhaps because many Americans have lost loved ones who sacrificed their lives for what that flag represents. As president and commander in chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, Obama should be very, very sensitive to the importance of the flag to Americans, and should stand by it proudly.
SK: "What could be more American than America's White House?"
The American flag.
Actually, you made the point, I made no point at all...not one word in my post...not one! My title says it all: Just Sayin' - Self Evident. Which, judging by your resposne, it was.
Are you saying that these pictures are not real? That in the real picture, there were flags on each side of President BO?
My post contained no words. Yet you have accused me of making unfair comparisons and of falsely representing the truth.
I'm shocked that a person of your impecable integrity and consistancy would make such an accusation.
Maybe the real story here is how presidential the others looked and how sophomoric, infantile and lecturonic BO looks.
You knew exactly what you were doing when you copied and posted that email. You state it quite clearly in your first comment--you believe President Obama doesn't understand what America is or he hates her, and then you pompously claim there are no other explanations for his actions.
Really? And tell us how you know there are no other explanations. I think you meant to say there are no other explanations YOU want to hear or entertain. LOL!
You believe the President of the United States, in addition to all of his other duties, sets up and designs the way a room looks before he speaks in it?
But aside from that obvious explanation, you can't prove there were no flags in that room. That picture doesn't show all of the room. So you failed in your mission to demonize America's president.
Despite what QR wrote, Snopes is a very reliable source debunking anti-Obama blast emails, the majority of which are lies that apparently QR, and people like him or her, swallow because they fit their smugly held prejudices.
There is nothing whatsoever, at all, in any way, shape, or form "self-evident" in these comments about this non-issue, except the fact that you'll all fall over yourselves to find any excuse to demonize the president.
This is one of your sillier posts, but I have no fear you'll do even better in the next day or so.
B. Hussein Obama, the honorable thing to do is to resign your position as president, for it is the only way for you to be a President. You have failed the American people as a leader. You have failed the voters as a President. You have violated your oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, by being yourself, an enemy, both foreign and domestic.
joe, It seems People who can't see that something is missing in this picture are the biggest problem with this country, or the love of it, I don't know which is this redundant??? good post that can really move people to show their true colors.....stay well.....

Yes, indeed.
"He either does not understand what America is or he hates her."
No, he does not (understand), & yes he does (apparently hate her).
and people STIll defend this despicable tyrant!
...and the flags are STILL gone, huh?
Joe...he hates America...a pres. who hates America.

QR,
Imagine if Mr. Obama had done to the flag what this Republican president did to it.
In any case, y'all are looking for any excuse to trash this American president. I wonder if you thought Mr. Bush "hated" America when he demonstrated he, the president, didn't know how to hold the American flag--something any school kid would know.
I wonder what it is.
Oh, wait, I think I know what it is...
Snopes has researched this email that Joe received and then put up as a post without checking its veracity.
The facts are that many presidents have given press conferences without a flag in sight--including your hero, Ronald Reagan. And here's the proof.
Really, Joe, you should check out the stuff you get in emails before posting it.
Turns out what you've posted is untrue.
But it fit your hatred of America's president, and that's all that matters to your folks.
LOL!

SK: By the way, which of those photos you put up as "proof" were taken in the East Room of the White House.
Answer: Not a single one.
OOooooops! Not proof after all.
Wow, this one's really making the rounds.
Well Joe, at least you didn't call the decorative stands Muslim obelisks like some of Islam obsessed scholars over at z's place.
Pitch till you win Joe.
Do you consider the drapery Muslim? That inanity has also been expressed.
Ducky! What brings you by? Surely you noticed my title which indicates that I intended the post to inspire you to draw your own conclusions.
Interesting how many people projected themselves into the pictures.
The stands were actually Muslim obelisks? WOW! Who knew?
I used to hang draperies for a living. Those are obviously silk.
Joe, you are just too cute by half. LOL!
