Boehner Kises Up to Minority |
Congress has passed legislation that will fund the Department of Homeland Security without touching President Obama’s immigration actions, bringing an end to a months-long battle that threatened to shut down an agency tasked with helping protect the U.S. against terrorist threats.
In a 257 to 167 vote, the House passed a “clean” Homeland Security funding bill without provisions that would curtail the president’s executive orders on immigration. The Senate passed the legislation last week and the president’s signature is certain.
The vote is a blow to conservatives in the House who fought to use the spending measure as a way to force the president’s hand to roll back his executive orders aimed at allowing millions of undocumented immigrants the chance to stay in the U.S. legally.
Even when they are in the majority, they can't win. Do you know why? Because they have never had, do not now nor will they ever want to win. This Rodney King bunch just wants to get along.
In fact, I think the Obama leaning Republicans love America just as much as Obama does.

They always cave because they are cowards. I can't stand them!
Oh, Joe! That DHS/Immigration thing has me spinning; for some reason, this hit me harder than most of the astonishingly horrid things Obama's doing. He won.
Why did we even have a November election? IT DID NOTHING :-(
