President BO (the amateur president) was speaking to the National Governors Association last Monday. He was repeating some of his regular rhetoric about building a thriving middle class.
He wants to partner with the governors to get it done.
By "partnering" he means let them do it his way. That's what he always means when he speaks of some form of cooperation.
Then, in an effort to be transparent by keeping the American public in the loop, PBO (tap) ordered the clearing of the press from the meeting so he could take questions.
I wonder what questions he was afraid of letting us know were asked?

Joe, it was a scheduled 'closed door' meeting. There were 50(?) other participants and I haven't heard one complain about the press being excluded. Since these things (press coverage) are worked out ahead of time, I can only assume the Governors Assoc. was on board. No word on whose idea it was.
The decision to have a closed door probably has something to do with what Ed Morrissey at Hotair speculates,
the temptation to grandstand will prove too great for some governors and the process will quickly degenerate into a partisan pissing match.
None of the participants were sworn to secrecy. It's just as plausible that the gov.s didn't want it public so they could come out and spin it their way, ie Darling Nikki and Bobby J. Maybe they didn't want to get owned by Obama live on C-Span. Who knows?
One thing's for sure, if Obama had unilaterally decided to let the press in, you'd be writing a post calling him a dictator. These picayune gripes of yours really say a lot about you.
Your loyal reader, Craig.
Loyal reader, Craig: "Maybe they didn't want to get owned by Obama..."?
In your dreams!
He has a superiority air about him, almost kingly. His nose goes up in the air (literally) and he makes pronouncements.
In the end, he is nothing less than a would-be despot.
Joe: Obama is more than a 'would be despot.' I think he is now moved into the category of 'despot-elect.'
Fredd: I think you are correct! I fear that for some national emergency or for the "good of the people," the 2016 elections will not take place.
Craig, sounds like the new Chris Christie rule.
He'll create a crisis so he can serve a 3rd term to "fix" it.
We better not let that happen otherwise nothing else would matter
Joe and Lisa - "I fear that for some national emergency or for the "good of the people," the 2016 elections will not take place."
"He'll create a crisis so he can serve a 3rd term to "fix" it."
You people are insane.
I will bet you any amount of money you care to bet that 2016 will see yet another American peaceful transition of power fro President Obama to whoever wins the 2016 election.
Please, PLEASE, put your money where your mouth is.
XO: "Please, PLEASE, put your money where your mouth is."
That would be unsanitary.
I hope I'm wrong, but that would be a first.
