Sharpton is a Disgrace to the Memory of Dr. MLK
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had class, style, honor and heart.
Sharpton has none of these. Is is at least one step below pond scum.
Geraldo is not much better...if at all.

Joe - Martin Luther King,Jr gave one of the best speeches ever. He had the right idea to give his speech peacefully and with grace.
Sharpton is a disgrace to anyone with dark skin, let alone a disgrace to humans in general.

Anonymous: You are commenting on a blog whose author was very active in the Civil Rights movement. Dr. Martin luther King, Jr. was my hero. I believe in all men having equal standing under the law and having equal opportunity to make of themselves whatever they wish: fireman; astronaut, physician or anything else.
I do not believe one group of people should be given a pass on anything just because of their skin color. Nor do I believe a white man should be convicted of some crime just because he is white any more than a person of color because of his color.
"Equality" means equality, not special favor. Advancement is achieved by hard work, no by charity (welfare statism).
You want food? Get out there and work for it. If you can't because of some physical or mental condition, then we will help you. Otherwise, get out there and work.
I turn 73 years old this month, and I'm still working to eat, have shelter and live. So should everybody else who wants the pleasures of life.
