He Got Us Out...Or Did He?

OK, so was Obama's timing right? Was it an ill advised move, dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States?

Did the move start the march to the surrendering of Iraq to Al Quaeda?

Did mass killings follow our leaving Iraq? Have there even been beheadings?

Have the terrorists established a safe haven in Iraq?

Does it look like American troops might have to return to Iraq to combat the likes of ISIS?

Is ISIS even more dangerous than Al Quaeda?

Guess who predicted this would be the result of an early withdrawal of our troops from Iraq.

Your favorite fall guy.

Tell us joe, why is it a problem when people lie and pass on untrue statements?

DM: "Tell us joe..."

I presume you are still talking about me. So, why do you care? If you read the truth, you deny it's the truth. If you read something you disagree with, you go nuts. You are never going to change your mind about anything, so what difference does it make to you?

Is there something untrue about this post? Did some actor speak in Obama's place? Did Bush not say what he said?

If you read something you disagree with, you go nuts.

From Joe's blog:

Lie No. 1: "President Obama has not mentioned anything in regards to this highly decorated soldier yet he spoke highly of Robin Williams who committed suicide."

President Obama paid tribute Thursday to Major General Harold Greene, who was killed Tuesday during an attack in Afghanistan.

"Serving in Afghanistan "continues to be a difficult and dangerous mission," Obama said before signing a bill on veterans health care."

"Our prayers are with the Greene family, as they are with all the Gold Star families and those who have sacrificed so much for our nation," Obama said.

"In the years to come, many from this generation will step out of uniform, and their legacy will be secure. But whether or not this country properly repays their heroism, properly repays their patriotism, their service and their sacrifice, that's in our hands."

From Joe's blog:

Lie No. 2: "General Greene was buried August 14 in Arlington National Cemetery. Neither the President, Vice President, Secretary of State nor Secretary of Defense attended the funeral."

From Google:

"Maj. Gen. Harold Greene receives full burial honors at ...
www.stripes.com/maj-gen-harold-greene-receives-full-b...
Stars and Stripes
Aug 14, 2014 - Gen. Harold J. Greene, mourns at his father's casket after laying a rose at ... Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel attended and met with the family. ... From unparalleled war photography, to touching memorial coverage, or the most ..."

Neither Dave nor I, nor anyone else went "nuts" over a disagreement. We wonder how the man who never misses an opportunity to bash the president and call him every name in the book, including liar, ignores the glaring lies he's left on his blog.

Leave them up and you're asking to be mocked the next time you whine about Mr. Obama telling us things that are not true.

The fact that you've not corrected two lies means, Joe, that you actually approve of lying.

Have a nice day.

Joe, are you purposefully being obtuse in not answering a simple question?

Yes, why?

George W. Bush broke Iraq. With absolutely no reason or justification other than he wanted to.

He thought his daddy should have gone on to Baghdad after he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait.

And he got his preppy little panties in a bunch when Saddam Hussein made a half-hearted attempt to kill his daddy.

Colin Powell warned him using the famous Pottery Barn admonishment..."if you break it, you own it."

George W. Bush broke Iraq and he owns it.

Every single thing that has happened since is a direct result of his reckless actions.

You can attempt to place the blame on the folks trying to sweep up the pieces or glue it back together, but that dog won't hunt.

ISIS, and the recent beheadings of journalists and Christians and children can all, every single one, be traced straight back to George W. Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

Nice try at obfuscation Joe.

As for Joe allowing the blatant lies about General Greene to stand, I can't get all that worked up about it.

Conservatives lie! They have alwasys lied! That's their "thing".

If they didn't lie about labor unions and poor people and liberals and homosexuals and atheists and immigration and Europeans and Jews and Catholics and basically anyone who isn't a sexually repressed submissive fundamentalist Christian constantly cowering in fear of an Old Testament God threatening to burn them alive for all eternity, they wouldn't have any philosophy or platform at all.

Their entire lives are built on lies, fiction, superstition and utter nonsense.

So, of course he will let the lies stand. Let it go. He will never give in.

Joe, I don't particularly care about you or your blog anymore. You've proved what Joe Carlton wrote above. You and your friends lie when it serves your purposes, despite clear and provable evidence to the contrary. Then you put up hypocritical Sunday "faith" blogs about scripture while bearing false witness against President Obama?

You are not a man of the Bible. You've made a mockery of the religion you supposedly follow.

I'm really shocked because I did respect your commitment to your religion, but you're not committed to it at all. You're committed to hatred. And according to Christianity, that's the Devil's work.

Good luck with that Joe. I'm sorry for you.

Here's another prophetic warning. Barack Obama, Oct. 2, 2002.

What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne...But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history. I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaida. I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars.

I'd like to correct something Shaw wrote,

The fact that you've not corrected two lies means

There were three lies, the flag thing is untrue too. I'm very disappointed, Joe. I thought you were a decent person. Oh well.

Joe, news today that the Kurds took strategic high ground from ISIS.

Seems ISIS has been stalled in Iraq so you might want to lighten up on your Obama criticism.
