We have good friends from England and other who live in Canada, and they talk about the horrendous lengths of time to get to see doctors, and how it is like a cattle call which rushes people in and out and if you have more than one problem you must schedule individual appointments for each problem. The older people have much more difficulty getting service. The Canadians come to the USA for health care. Much more, but you - as with the rest of your ilk - think the government should run health care. Good luck.
G.E.C. - I have friends from Canada who live here now and they have exactly the opposite experience. They go back to Canada whenever they need any medical care. And it's not like a quick drive across the border...they live in Kansas City, MO and they would rather drive to Canada to see a doctor than go bankrupt so that some rich U.S. doctor can keep his boat at his lake house.
Actually, the most difficult part of your comment to believe was that you have friends. You mean you have actually found someone who isn't a gay, Mexican, socialist, apostatic heretic? Because to hear yoy go on and on about it, they're everywhere.
I was born in Miami, Florida, the son of an Air Force officer, traveled the world, was saved at age 17, and have served the Lord since. That's me on the left and my lovely wife, Bonnie...the pretty one...on the right.

FOUR PRINCIPLES THAT DEFINE TRUE CONSERVATISM:
1. Respect for The Constitution
2. Respect for Life
3. The Smallest Possible Government
4. Individual Responsibility
This blog is about my philosophy of government, which is a very conservative philosophy.
You are not required to agree with me (although you would be better off if you did).
I am biased toward conservatism, and make no apologies for that.
Freedom means not being controlled by the government, that being the very reason we declared our independence from Great Britain.
Government's job is not to provide things for people, but to provide the opportunity for people to persue the things they want via the vehicles of freedom and responsibility.

Joe, the government is not in charge of your medical records.
Private doctors and health care providers are.
Can you point to any law or executive order that says the government will be handling our medical records?
DM: Actually, they point to me.
I'm confused Joe... did you answer my question?
The government intends in the future to be in charge of medical records - single payer socialism like the fiasco in so many foreign countries.
The LEFT will never learn, because their ideology is "entitlement."
Glenn, other industrial countries have lower health insurance costs and better health outcomes.
Why is that a disaster?
Or do you believe that Japan, France and Sweden don't have knowledgeable doctors?
They have unsanitary hospitals?
Would you please explain.
DM: Are you really that easily confused?

Just shows what a complete ass you are. I have multitudes of friends, with many being closer than family. It comes from living a life of integrity.
