We're going to be saving so much money that our bank accounts will virtually disappear!

The Affordable Care Act won't have any impact on you, Joe.

You are on Medicare and you can stay on Medicare.

Xavier... that is government subsidized medicare... unless Joe, as a pastor, opted out when he had the chance...

XO: I paid for it. I would be irate if I didn't get what the government promised I would get.

DM: Never been a pastor. Never opted out.

Liberal theological snobs think the only legitimate ministry in the church is to be a pastor of some sort. I've been a minister of music, minister of education and minister of youth. I've never been a pastor.

Well Joe, one of the issues with the ACA is that it has no mechanism to restrain costs.

So for profit insurers monopoly has no reason not to raise premiums.
There is a concern that competition from the exchanges will set us on the path to single payer but that's a future battle that you won't join.

Meanwhile we'll have to listen to right wing bullet heads complain that it's the ACA that is raising premiums.

By the way, Numb Chucks, my wife has no insurance, government or otherwise. Now she will be forced to buy insurance. So much for liberty and freedom. Our costs will rise by thousands of dollars per year! I don't think I like the government forcing that upon us.

Golly forbid anything happens to Bonnie. A serious illness or injury. It will wipe you out. then, when you're tapped out, those of us responsible enough to have insurance get the bill.

Fine if you want to gamble with your solvency by not being insured but I'm tired of bailing out you freeloaders. We are already paying for the uninsured at inflated prices.

Take responsibility for yourselves. I'll bet you have no idea what options are available to you because you're so convinced the ACA is a commie plot, you won't even look. You might be eligible for a subsidy.

Unless you have enough socked away to cover a catastrophic injury or illness, don't talk to me about your liberty and freedom when I'm bailing you out. What you want is freedom from responsibility.

What are you talking about?? How old is your wife? If she is 62-65 she is eligible for Social Security and Medicare.

If she is younger than that, you GO you cradle robbing dog!

But seriously, how does she not have insurance?

You are the husband, the head of the household. How do you not provide health insurance for your wife?

I'm don't think I like you and Bonnie living your lives under the assumption that if Bonnie has some catastrophic illness that me and Ducky will pick up the tab while also listening to your complaints and whines about the American government that requires us to care for you.

Thinking you should acknowledge your dependence upon the taxpayers and thank us Liberals for keeping you and yours alive.

See? There you go...unable to draw a correct conclusion from a set of facts.

Joe, are you glad your wife doesn't have coverage?
Talk about rolling the dice.

But as XO says, others will cover it. You'll be the first to tap Medicaid and curse the government for providing treatment.

The right wing world is certainly a strange place.

Ducky: My wife does not have coverage and no one else pays for her medical bills, whether minor or catastrophic.
How can this be? The liberal mind is not capable of figuring it out, are you?
