My mind said, "So? Who cares?"
Turns out that even though most listeners don't care, the news reporter cared. He's the one who brought it up. If he hadn't brought it up, no one would have known. And no one really cares.
A black president [President BO (the amateur president)] hires a black White House coordinator. How is that a surprise? How is that news?
To have brought it up at all is very, very racist.

There are several terms which describe the left, "liberals," and "progressives" and that is liars, hypocrites, and disgusting unpatriotic Americans, and Communists.
Obastard is dancing along a thin line with Egypt because of his personal agenda and he doesn’t dare stumble on this one, because everyone is watching.
He won’t call the military coup ousting the wanna-be dictator Morsi, a coup, because that would activate a law of ours stopping the $1.5 billion or so we give to Egypt each year in military aid. All aid regardless of the circumstances must stop to any nation in which a coup takes place and until democratic elections resume.
Ending the aid could also end the treaty of peace between Israel and Egypt, since the treaty depended on that aid as a condition originally, and if the Egyptian military wins out, as expected, Obastard will have lost us an ally.
Obastard is a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, because even though it’s a terrorist organization, it’s Sunni like him and financed and promulgated by Saudi Arabia. The ousted president Morsi is a Sunni and member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Obastard wants to interfere in the developing Egyptian civil war between the Shiite majority and the minority of Sunnis who are willing to fight over Morsi’s ouster, but if he does he’ll be openly throwing in his hand with the Muslim Brotherhood.
He’s gotten away with previous interference in Arab affairs in the Middle East, pushing the so-called Arab Spring that benefited only the Muslim Brotherhood, but that was before people realized what was happening. With Egypt being the most populous Arab nation, and of great strategic importance to the world, all eyes are on Obastard and what moves he makes, or doesn’t.

I have called myself racist because if I have an encountor with a black person I generally say that the person is black. I never say that someone is white.
Thus - I am a racist.

If the reporter just said it was a black guy/gal, that would be weird. I'm not sure it would be racist.
You don't remember who the report was about, what position was being filled, (or whatever they called him) or which of the Big 3 you were watching. I suspect, per usual, you have no idea what the context was either. Maybe that person was the first black appointed to that position or some such. We'll never know since you don't provide (can't remember) any details. You weren't paying much attention to the report, you heard the word "black" and it set off your outrage detector.

I'd do it but today is Kansas City's Ethnic Enrichment Festival and I'm looking forward to spending the afternoon with people from all around the world (including some Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists), absorbing their culture, listening to their music and eating their delicious food.
