Who Pays What in Taxes?

  1. The top 1% of households earned 15% of income but paid 35% of federal income taxes.
  2. The top 20% of households earned 52% of income but paid 69% in federal income taxes.
  3. The bottom 20% of households income tax rates dropped from 9% to 1.9% since 1984.
  4. 40% of households get more than half their income from federal transfer programs.
  5. When government transfers are included, 60% of Americans had net negative tax rates — meaning they received more than they paid in.
“The wealthiest Americans should be paying their fair share?”  They already pay much more than their fair share.

The Deception We Stupid Americans Fell For

We insured so many previously uninsured Americans, didn't we? We solved the insurance problems of the United States, didn't we. We have achieved health coverage for everybody, haven't we?

Such Honorable People Are Hard to Find

MIT professor Jonathan Gruber's recent remarks that "lack of transparency" and "the stupidity of the American voter" were critical to helping pass Obamacare.

Now we know that although he claimed his remarks were "...off the cuff..." and he didn't mean them, he repeated them on at least two other occasions! So we know he was lying.

According to a 2012 article in The New York Times, he did have a part - a large part - of drafting the ACA:

After Mr. Gruber helped the administration put together the basic principles of the proposal, the White House lent him to Capitol Hill to help Congressional staff members draft the specifics of the legislation.
Nancy Pelosi, when asked about Guber's remarks, responded briskly: "I don't know who he is. He didn't help write our bill."

When Pelosi said "I don't know who he is," She was just flat out lying. She knew who he was back in November of 2009! She said so at a press conference.
The Eyes of Dementia
So, Maybe she just forgot (which might fit her pattern of dementia). If she didn't know who he was, why did she just brush him off as irrelevant? If she knew who he was and knew he was no one of importance, why didn't she say THAT?
In fact, Pelosi's office actually touted Gruber's analysis of the law's premiums on the House Speaker's website. For that matter, so did the White House
In fact, Gruber was closely involved with the creation of ACA, and was widely cited as an authority on how it would work.

Both Gruber and Pelosi are liars. Some Republican politicians lie, but most Democrat politicians do.

ADDENDUM:

Did you catch that? She said Gruber (whom she did no know) back-tracked on his earlier statements.

How does she know what his prior statements are if she does not know who he is.

Is there any way a person of integrity and honor would not be embarrassed having this inane woman as part of the Party?

Goober Found Out Again (Yes, I meant to use the word "Goober")

How much truth can actually be denied before it is too obviouis to cover up?
