I've met Chris Matthews in person twice. Both stories would take more time than I care to involve myself with. One meeting in 1998 was bad, the other in 2013 was good. He's batting .500 with me.

Chris just wants to matter. Nothing more, nothing less.It wasn't all that long ago that some could have characterized him as a middle-right kind of guy.
