A REAL AMERICAN HERO

16 comments:

  1. Fighting soldiers from the sky.
Fearless men who jump and die.
Men who mean just what they say.
The brave men of the Green Beret.

    Silver wings upon their chest.
    These are men, America's best.
One hundred men will test today.
But only three win the Green Beret.

    Great tune.
    Stirring words.

  2. Then again Joe......

    'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
    Was there a man dismay'd?
    Not tho' the soldiers knew
    Some one had blunder'd:
    Theirs not to make reply,
    Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
    Into the valley of Death
    Rode the six hundred.

    and.......

The Sergeant said, "Sir, are you sure,
This is the best way back to the base?"
"Sergeant, go on! I forded this river
'Bout a mile above this place.
It'll be a little soggy but just keep slogging.
We'll soon be on dry ground."
We were -- waist deep in the Big Muddy
And the big fool said to push on.

It is always the old fools that blunder and the brave young who pay the price.

  6. Seems to be a dearth of them Libruls 'round here today. Perhaps I'll give 'em some succor:

For I flew the final mission in the Japanese sky
Lit off the frighty mushroom roar
When I saw the cities burning
I kinda knew that I was learning
    That I ain't marching anymore

Now the labour leader's screaming when they close the missile plants
    United fruit screams at the c u b a n shore
Call it peace or call it treason
Call it love or call it reason,
    But I ain't marching anymore....

    And.......

    And he's fighting for Democracy,
    He's fighting for the Reds,
He says it's for the peace of all.
He's the one who must decide,
Who's to live and who's to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.

    But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned him at Dachau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can't go on.

  9. Yes indeedy, we really do need a hero. Regardless of what you may WANT in a candidate the current president probably doesn't represent 80-85% of what you believe.

If he wins, he will select 2-3 new Supreme Court justices, and they are guaranteed to be extremely liberal.

So, if Mitt isn't as conservative as you'd like, or Rick it too religious for your tastes, TOUGH.

Vote because it will be bigger than either one of them when those SCOTUS from Obama interprut the Constitution in ways you most certainly won't like.
Obama is already acting like a dictator and it will only worsen if he wins a second term. If he wins a second term he will behave no differently than Hugo Chavez.

  10. Wow!! Is all I can say. What a true American Patriot and Hero. My grandfather, who fought in WWII, received two purple hearts.
God bless our troops, I honor them all.

  11. I have nothing snarky or derogatory to say.

The man loved and served his country in his own way and we all owe him a debt of gratitude.

I would only add that there are other less dramatic but equally valuable ways of serving the country you love.

Teaching the next generation is one.

Teaching should be the intellectual equivilent of Seal Team Six.

Only the smartest, most educated and highly motivated people should be allowed to teach and they should be compensated at the highest level.

Maybe on a Private Equity model like Mitt Romney.

If a student of a teacher goes on to earn great wealth based on the lessons they were taught, maybe the teacher should get a perpetual cut of that student's earnings taxed at a the same rate as Capital Gains.

After all, isn't that what Capitalism is all about?

  12. Look what the Cat dragged in. These sleazy, scuzzball libaturds like the one compaining about your "racist" commentors is just flapping her gums once again to keep the air circulating inside her skull. Dhe's been saying the same junk since Obama’s utopia started to turn brown… raaaaacism, raaaaacism, raaaaacism… etc. Does she think she and her motley crew are gonna change any minds with this bleat? Not even they could be that stupid. I think.

  13. Real American hero's say what they what to say, they don't knuckle down just because some lame-brain lefty commie comes up with some lame-brained agenda. Or if some freakazoid lefty commie douche-bag gets insulted about telling it like it is about race. Race be damned, we're not even raising men and women in America these days. We’re raising cowards, pussies and sissies.
I would think minorities would be more outraged at the democrats, after all they are the ones who created racism.
